Question on purchasing tickets from the box office

generally buy all my tickets online when I buy in advance, but would rather not pay the service fee.

Thinking about buying tickets to DEH from the box office for the Holidays when my family comes to town, but my question is does the box office only give you hard copy tickets? Or can they issue electronic tickets?

Not sure I trust myself with hard copy tickets for 2 months, but will bite the bullet anyway, but wasn't sure if its possible to get electronic tickets like you would typically get from telecharge or ticketmaster straight from the box office.

Thanks in advance

I keep any and all paper theatre and sports tickets clipped together in chronological order at home in my upper right desk drawer. Create a system that works for you.

I do the same, but in my kitchen drawer.  I would rather have hard copy tickets any day vs electronic.

Just curious and wondering if you could buy the tickets at the box office and asked them to hold the tickets for you and let you pick them up at "will call" window the night of the performance.

Not specific to Broadway theaters but I've been able to have box office look up my ticket based on credit card number and my ID. Could be a question you ask the box office to confirm as a back up plan or if they can be held at will call as another one user suggested. (Also I can empathize, I get nervous with high value items and after I bought $150 concert tickets in person I was so paranoid I'd lose them I probably check my drawer at least once a week leading up to the show to make sure they were still therrQuestion on purchasing tickets from the box office

I prefer to buy my tickets in box offices too to avoid paying the fees. Makes sense since I live in the city and work few blocks away from TS.

However, when I stopped getting tickets online, Audience Rewards didn't accept some of my ticket points that were purchased in box offices. I contacted them and was informed that hey only accept online or phone orders (only orders made on Ticketmaster or Telecharge, not TDF or Working advantage or any other third party). I bought expensive front mezz tickets for Tina and wasn't able to use those tickets for AR points. They, however, accepted the Diana the musical order number, although it wasn't purchased online.

Yes, they have done that for me many times, because I don't trust myself with physical tickets, as weird as that sounds.

I don't think box offices can do electronic tickets? I've never been given the option!

To those who worry about losing their paper tickets: purchase with a credit/debit card; they can find your order using it. I just did it for Come From Away a couple weeks ago. Bought a ticket for a friend, went down to meet her to give it to her, left the ticket at home! Just went in and told them and they reprinted it in a matter of seconds.

You can also ask all these questions at the box office and, if the answers aren't to your liking, immediately go online and purchase.
