Out of curiosity, how extensive is the set for Dear Evan Hansen? That's the next show for Broadway in New Orleans, and I'm curious (if schedule allows) if it's able to be moved to the Mahalia Jackson for the performances.

I think it could absolutely be moved to Mahalia. But they are imploding the leaning cranes tomorrow, so I think DEH is going to be fine at the Saenger.

That said, there is no reason to believe that they will be unable to load out the show and make the next engagement. The stage door is on the other side of the building on a different street, and there is a through alley were it looks like the loading doors are located, also closer to this street. Unless the alley is needed for recovery purposes/access or there is any structural damage to the theater which prohibits entry, there should be no major issues getting the show loaded out."
I you scroll down on this link you will see that the entire Saenger is in an evacuation area, so there are definitely major issues in getting the show out. The Atlanta stop opens on the 23rd I believe. The imploding is happening tomorrow but there is no word on when traffic in and out of the area will be restored. Hopefully it all goes well as there is a lot of traffic chaos in the city. If the tragic accident had happened a few hours later many folks attending the Wicked matinee would have been in harm's way. Our hearts profoundly go out to the those who were fatally injured and their families and also there is a sense of thankfulness that the fatalities could have been much worse.
I hope they're able to recover everything and be in ATL soon. I don't remember the last time Wicked has cancelled a performance, let alone an entire week or entire engagement. Jan 2016 in Charlotte, NC is the last time I remember a cancelled performance. That is, of course based off of my limited following of this tour. They very well could have another by now.

Cool cool, thanks! I'm really looking forward to seeing it, so wasn't sure how extensive it was. I know they already moved Baby Shark or Peppa Pig or something over there.
As long as they can begin load out on Sunday evening (which I assume is when the last performance would have been happening) then they'll still be on schedule to open normally in Atlanta.

I received an email earlier inviting people with Wicked tickets to purchase pre-show passes to the Marquee Club. No indications from the Fox about performances being cancelled so far.
Exclusion order still in effect. Job considered to be successful in that both cranes did what they wanted them to do. The first news reports were hard to decipher . *post edited to reflect new-ish information.
Here is latest update.
Parts of one crane still have to be removed a special way.
Glad the bigger of the 2 didnt end up in the Saenger, but I did hear some windows broke. That other crane though, sucks it's hanging over the side like that!
New map shows theater is still in the evac zone. https://twitter.com/CWatkinsWDSU/status/1186071762531995648?s=19
As of last night the show hasn't unloaded from New Orleans. I saw an orchestra member tweeting about their instruments being stuck.
However, the Fox in Atlanta tweeted this morning that Wicked performances begin on Wednesday, so it appears the tour will run. Marquee passes and tickets are still available for purchase, and Alison Bailey (the current Glinda) stated she's excited to perform at the Fox. I wonder if the set will be loaded out today or if there was a contingency plan with the old 1st NT set.
Update: It appears that the set is currently being loaded out of the Saenger. That's gonna be a fast turn around.

QueenTwinnied, Thanks for the updates. Although I don't live in Atlanta, Jacksonville is the next stop after. Although I have seen the show a couple of times, I still would have been disappointed to miss it.
