THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA musical to premiere in Chicago, summer 2020 |
Wonder if Laura osnes would be a good fit for this show.

Is there a list of the lab cast anywhere?
Very excited for this one!
The only casting in that lab that strikes me as truly exciting is Helene Yorke in the Emily Blunt role.
I've very glad to see that this production is being directed and music supervised by women.

I love living in Chicago, we've been spoiled these past few Summers w/ pre-Broadway tryouts and I get obsessed:
2018 The Cher Show (6x)
2019 Six (7x)
I cannot wait!
I just find the casting of Etai Benson as Nate so hysterically perfect and I’m not sure why.

The ones that I think could work would be Donna Murphy (obvious choice), Audra (inspired choice), or Patti LuPone (interesting choice but could work).

The following are among top Tony winning actresses: Glenn Close, Angela Lansbury, Christine Ebersole, Patti LuPone, Liza Minnelli, Donna Murphy, Bernadette Peters, Chita Rivera, Judy Kaye, Audra McDonald, Andrea Martin, Christine Baranski
Not guesses, by the way... lol.

A Christine Baranski Miranda would honestly be my dream.
I'd like to see Glenn Close or Vanessa Williams but I'm sure they've got someone great lined up. It's hard to dream cast without hearing the score.
This will be playing Chicago the same time as SIX next year. I wonder if those two will bring tourists in.

Multiple Tony winner? Mark Rylance will be brilliant as Miranda!
Honestly, of all the names thrown around, Bernadette and Audra are the two who could take the character in a different direction than Streep.
