Anyone watching this new French horror series yet? I'm halfway through and it's been really good so far. I highly recommend watching it with the French audio and English subtitles. I only made it a few minutes in with the dubbed English before switching. The English dubbed voice actors are not good at all.
Just finished the excellent mini series-Unbelievable with Toni Collette and ? with I knew the other detectives name as well as the young girl-unknown but excellent.
Don't think Marianne is for me but will try it a bit longer, but, the excellent main female detective in Unbelieveable appeared in netflix Godless- a limited Western series I started watching last night. It's beautifully shot, interesting characters and story line so can't wait to continue with it tonight.
I'll have to give unbelievable a watch after I finish this, I only have 2 episodes to go. I've still been enjoying it. It's one of the better horror things I've watched this year.
Thank you JC for doing the Google work for me--Yes, that is she so do check out Godless---and also, the interview with Toni and Merritt[yes, close friends !!] on The Sit Down, AM to DM ? with Toni and Merritt, a short insight into the show and their beautiful personalities.
There is nothing bad about this 7 episode mini-series and the writing for each character is beyond good. The extra scenes that could be totally unnecessary are perfect for character building--the hunting scene, the horse training, the sons development.
The dialogue between Whitey[Thomas Brodie-Sangster] and Mary Agnes[Merritt Weaver] was heartbreaking and maternal.
And could I work out who the lead actress was? No. I knew her voice SO well so had to google--Lady Mary from Downton-Michelle Dockery--worlds apart but she shines looking so 'down stairs'.
