Im new to Broadway World, and I thought you lovely people could help me out here with some lyrical study. Im learning the song, My Unfortunate Erection, from 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and I havent found a helpful definition of the acronym P.T.A. anywhere online. Does anyone know what Chip means when he says that in the context of the song? The closest thing I found was Parent Teacher Association, but nothing that directly correlated with selling overpriced candy at a Spelling Bee to raise funds for the Spelling Club. If someone has answered this question before, I apologize for not checking prior to typing this out. Also, would you kindly give me the link to that thread?
