I'm penciling-in my shows for our May trip (Definites: Company, SIX, Flying Over Sunset) and wondering what your guesses are as to The Inheritance running past March, which is the end date of ticket sales. There doesn't seem to be a posted close date, but these things tend to have actors with limited windows of availability.

What do you think is the likelihood of it running through May? (our visit is the last week)

Considering it’s London pedigree has it positioned to be the big play of the upcoming season, I would say likely. Not sure how much of the original cast will be there come May, since most of the London performers coming over will likely just be on limited contract and John Benjamin Hickey is departing for an unknown length of time to direct PLAZA SUITE at the Hudson. I’m imagining another situation not unlike “The Ferryman”

Well, Kyle Soller, Sam Levine, and Andrew Burnap are Americans so they don't have the same issues as some British actors have with limited contracts.

The opportunity to extend (with or without the UK cast members) certainly seems to exist, but only once we see how it starts selling once it gets going... a 7+ hour straight gay play (or is it a gay straight play?!) with no stars seems like a hard sell, but if the quality and word of mouth kick in, who can tell...

I too have an upcoming trip in May and have saved both Saturday slots for The inheritance. Just praying it extends.

The Inheritance is an open run, now will the original British cast have the visas for longer than 6 months...only time will tell. My guess is once they open they will release the next block of tickets

Once again, I think only Paul Hilton is the only cast member that's not American and requires a visa to work here. All the leads but him are Americans (with I think Soller being the only one who actually lives in the UK because his wife is English) and the ensemble seem to be all Americans as well. There will be no issues with their legally being allowed to work longer than 6 months. They might not have signed more than 6 months for other reasons, but a visa issue is not one.

Thank you for the clarification! Sorry for missing your earlier response!

Ok another question about “extending “. Do you think they will keep the same schedule and have both Parts on Sunday ?? Trying to complete our next trip in May and using Sunday for both parts will really free up the schedule. Thanks for any insight
We just bought our first tickets. Girl From the North County and my sister wants to get Plaza Suite tickets the day they go on sale. My Must See are The Inheritance and Take Me Out
