Are there Rush tickets for LSH?

There has been no official announcement on rush as of yet, but people has asked the box office and have confirmed there will be at some point. There was also a rush-like sale a few weeks ago, but that was only for previews, so I think by the end of previews an official rush policy should be announced (as they have no sold any of the front row as of yet, besides that preview sale).

I pray that I’m wrong about this, but how much do you want to bet that it’ll be a freaking digital lottery?

I'm not sure the box office would confirm the rush if it was a lottery (unless they were referring to the preview sale as rush, which seems unlikely). I agree a digital lottery wouldn't be great, the front row is probably going to be rush so if they had a lottery also I'm not sure what seats those would be.

Nowadays I’ve found that some theaters will use “rush” as a blanket term for cheap, same-day ticket policies, including lotteries. Which is annoying and misleading, but I’ve seen it happen nonetheless. Especially since the details of the policy seemingly haven’t been fully decided yet.

I can’t speak for the people who got angry at you, because I wasn’t one of them, and I wasn’t even following the thread in question.

But I will say it’s fairly common on this board to have a separate thread for discussing rush tickets, so that’s probably why nobody got angry on this thread.

Before I posted this question, I looked for the answer and didn’t find a thread about LSH and their RUSH policy. This forum is my go to for RUSH threads.

I just left the box office, and the agent says that there will be some sort of last-minute tickets. They were told that it will be $29, 2 hours before the show. She does not know if it’s going to be rush or lottery quite yet. Exciting news!

Thanks for this information. I sure hope it’s not lottery. I prefer good old fashioned general rush

At least it's not a digital lottery if it is one

If theyre doing it in person, theyd be better off doing a lottery...sidewalks are small there and it's pretty residential (if I'm remembering correctly) and a lottery would be more respectful/less disruptive.

I don’t think I’m familiar with the theater but every in-person lottery I’ve been to is more disruptive than general rush where people line up orderly. I am not a fan of lottery and prefer General Rush. With General Rush you have to put in the effort to make sure you get there early enough to get in line. Lottery is luck of the draw and barely any effort at all. Lottery has people scattered all out front waiting for the call to be made. I understand it’s all personal preference.

So it's a lottery. Very curious how packed this is going to be. Is this the only in-person lottery happening on/off-Broadway right now with the exception of Wicked?

I think it will be mobbed. This show is popular. That’s one of the reasons why I hate lotteries. You travel so far and you may not get a ticket.

I love in person lottos, so exciting. I love the announcement about late comers get as much of a chance as everyone else. Missed in person lotteries as they've disappeared. Good luck to all.

More importantly, I'm not sure I ever considered Audrey II to be a woman.

There are pros and cons to an in-person lottery.

My question is where would the seats be located?!? Isn't the preview period all sold out? Do you guys think they'll add chairs at the back of the orchestra?

I'm fine with cash only but somehow I kind of wish they just charged a nice round number like $30 instead of $29. lol

Just because no seats are available for purchase doesn't mean all seats are accounted for. Plenty are held back for a variety of reasons -- house seats, etc. -- and I'd imagine they held some back for this lottery.

Yeah I was thinking too it would be were the $99 preview sale seats were, but the lottery is also happen during previews. Maybe after previews, it will include the front row? I'm also curious how many seats they are selling. There can't be that many so this lottery is going to be tricky.

I wish this show much success and I’m glad to see that the Producers are offering $29 tickets to all performances but, as I live on the same street as where the Westside is, I’m dreading the crowds this production will undoubtably attract for every performance. Can’t think how they plan to order the crowds that will be spilling out into the street, etc.

Previews and Lottery start tonight(as said in the preview thread). If anyone is going to the previews, could they report back how the lottery goes? A last minute trip came into the books before I could get tickets, and I've love to try the lotto for this. Thanks!

Lotto over. I did not enter, got there at 6:32. Seemed to be a moderately sizable crowd. Not enormous, but winnable. Happened right outside on the steps.
