It was announced today that the first three dates for Madonna's "Madame X" tour in Brooklyn have been canceled and only two of the dates have been rescheduled. Her character that was created for the new album had this to say about the delay, 'Madame Is a perfectionist and wants to give you the most unique, magical, and musical experience. She underestimated the amount of time it would take to bring this kind of intimate theatrical experience to you and wants it to be perfect!!! Thank you so much for your understanding.' Whether this is a true statement or the dates have been canceled due to low ticket sales remains to be seen. I am sure that the people that had their hearts set on seeing the first show on the tour and traveling from far distances have to be mad...
A show for September 18 goes on sale on August 30. It's been on Ticketmaster for a couple of weeks, so it's not new.
Madonna hasn't prepared for many tours in the past or had much experience putting together touring shows so it's perfectly understandable that she and her probably equally inexperienced at touring staff could have underestimated the time to pull this together. Hopefully, as she progresses in her career and gains more experience at this whole performing live thing, she'll become better at it.
