Does anyone know if Todaytix is reliable? I'm about to purchase two Broadway tickets from them and the whole concierge pick up seems kinda sketchy and are the seats they give you good as well?

Thanks!!

I did it once because friends assured me it was fine, and it was indeed fine.

I did it once to see a show in Philly, but that is apparently very different from picking up tickets in NYC. My SO and her family got tickets for Hello Dolly and more recently Chicago. For Hello Dolly, she said the seats were good, just she got stuck behind a pole (though her family had a good view apparently, this is more an issue with the theater honestly) and for Chicago she got front row mezz. It really just depends on the day you get the seats, but they usually aren't too bad.

One thing I did hear was some people bought tickets for Hadestown before the Tonys and were given refunds after the Tonys as the show got immensely popular. This seems pretty rare (as the hype for Hadestown hit like a truck after June), but is good thing to keep in mind for any shows you might get if they just happen to sweep during the Tonys. Again, most purchases seem to go off without a hitch.

While I can't speak to the seating, yes they are reliable/there's nothing sketch about it. It's a professional service and you can walk through the theater district around showtime and you'll see someone in a red shirt waiting outside every single theater for TodayTix buyers. I've used it and it was seamless (I just don't remember for what show or where I sat. lol)

I've used them close to 50 times since 2015 and never had a single problem. Mostly, it's been mobile rush or lotteries where you don't know the seats beforehand, but almost always they are decent to good seats and the theaters decide that, not them. The regular seats you buy from them will in some cases show you what seats you are getting before you buy and that's exactly what you get. When they don't, they will still give you an idea of what seats recent purchasers received. Up to you to decide if they are "good". The shows I've had that are concierge service, the person has been there outside the theater on time, without fail. Up to you to decide if you are getting a good deal from them but yes, they are thoroughly reliable.
