Oy.

But if this is what it takes to subsidize a Roundabout revival of Caroline or Change, then fine.

Oh, how I loved this!

I saw it years ago in Denver before it came here. A cool show. Once was enough though. Had "snow" falling out of my clothes for the rest of the evening after!

Saw it in Australia, only remember the 'snow' and balloons?  and each time it returned the general comments were, 'not again'.

Is it still with the original Slava, or does it really matter? and can't even remember if he were the only person on stage.

What is this show all about? I’ve been checking out the website and social media but I’d love to hear some reports from those who’ve seen it to get a better idea of if I’d be interested in seeing it.

Click on the about button on the show's website. It tells you there what it is about.

It is just a whimsical, funny evening. No words are spoken at all. Looking at the photos on the site it appears that they have beefed up the production since I saw it years ago. It was a bit slow moving but I think only lasts about 90 minutes. It's worth it for the snowstorm though. Something different.

As I said, I had already explored the website and social media but I was hoping for some more detailed reports from people who’ve actually seen it and not their marketing team. Thanks for your thoughts!

This starts tonight, anyone going?

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

It's clowning/mime work for 90 minutes. They play with giant balls, squirt water in the audience, throw snow, etc etc. It builds up to a giant paper snow storm that's kind of spectacular.

I worked front of house when it was at the Hayes and it was kind of a nightmare to work. They release MOUNTAINS of confetti/snow at the end and if any blew onto 44th St we'd be fined so the cleaning staff worked so so hard to keep it out of the lobby and off the streets when we had to open all the doors to let people out at the end. The cast were all nice, but we had some theories about them I won't get into on here.

Just know if you want to see the ACTUAL Slava he rarely performs any more himself. He's internationally famous enough we'd have people every night excited to see him specifically and we never had the heart to tell them odds are it was someone else.

This is awesome info, thank you! I was on the fence about this show having never seen it myself and not knowing anyone else who did, but I find myself very intrigued by the entire thing. BTW, if you’d be willing to share your theories from the Hayes run privately I’d be intrigued to hear some of what happened back during that original run.

Important to note: the characters are not tradional AMERICAN clowns, but a much more sophisticated clown.

Its very much performance art, with themes instead of an actual plot.

This reminds me of "Mummenshanz" which plays every so often in the city, with 'clowns' using props in interesting ways, and no words are spoken, some audience interaction,e tc.

I’ve never seen the show, but based on the comment about the amount of paper ‘snow’ used, makes me curious from an environmental standpoint. I bet it’s spectacular but is there an issue about the environmental impact? (And absolutely not trying to be a killjoy, just curious.)

This was weird and not that entertaining. Definitely skipable.

Two acts, 20 min intermission though audience interaction begins about 10 mins into the intermission, and 1:40 total.

I remember everything moving in extreme slow motion, and the show being interminable.  Like watching paint dry.  The last few minutes were quite the spectacle, but they couldn't charge Broadway prices if the show only lasted the final 5-10 minutes.

I'm actually extremely intrigued by this show. I'm really considering it. Not your traditional piece, but fascinating, no?
