Question about The Stratford Festival Play On Tickets#1

I have tickets to the Stratford Festival soon. My partner bought them with the PLAY ON discount which is for people 29 and under. We received the tickets and it says on them that you must show proof of being under 29 upon entry to the theatre. However, my partner is under 29 and I am not. So my question is, do the ushers actually card you at the door of the theatre?

i just went yesterday with play on tickets and they did not id us at the door

That is good to know. I felt like that was a bit unrealistic for the ushers to do.
