Where can I find good monologues to use for auditions for colleges? I've been looking and none of them either really apeal to me or they're not from published plays. I don't know how to look for good plays to find monologues for a female that is long enough. I need help please. And I also need two because they have to be contrasting, either comedic and dramatic, or classical and contemporary. I just need help, thank you :)

I would recommend starting with your local library.  Chances are they have a decent selection of plays or can order plays through inter-library loans.  Look for playwrights you respond to, subjects that interest you, and roles that fit your age, gender, and type.  If you don't know what your type is, you might look at actors who you feel a kinship towards or who people have said you remind them of, then seek out some of their theatre work.  Hope this helps!

Sincerely, a university theatre major
