Filming at What the Constitution Means to Me?

Is this show being filmed today? I saw a ton of equipment being brought into the Hayes this morning. Would love to see this end up on Netflix or something.

I remember Heidi saying to me at the stage door that it’s being filmed, though if for anything beyond the Lincoln Center Archives I’m not entirely sure.

I know she’s invested in planning the tour and adapting the material for actresses in future runs when it tours in the coming year

It's most likely for the Lincoln Center Archives.  If it were for anything else, we likely would have heard - but of course, anything is possible.

The show was taped for the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive (TOFT) last fall at the NY Theatre Workshop. It's not being recorded for the archive a second time, so whatever is taking place this week is for some other purpose.

This is going to be a massive hit online. I hope they don’t wait until the tour is over to release it, like they are with Mike Birbiglia’s New One, but either way - incredible!

And since Birbiglia has already a few specials with Netflix, I don't see why they would have recorded his last few specials to put to Netflix, but not his new one.

Just got an email from a casting company looking for people to be in the audience when they film the show on Monday, March 2nd. I can’t copy the screenshot for some reason but here are the details for anyone interested:

I was invited to register through Eventbrite for a comp ticket.... but I signed up using my work email (oops - didn't see it until this morning) and now the registration is closed. Huge fail

They didn’t film it. It was postponed. I hope this materializes eventually.

They did film it during the Broadway run. What they canceled were pick up shots on a soundstage that were intended to augment the original filming.

BroadwayNews has just reported that the filmed production of WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME, filmed live on Broadway at the Helen Hayes Theater during it's final week of performances, will debut on Amazon Prime on October 16th of this year. SO PUMPED
