I'm really excited about Tamyra Gray. I'm not into American Idol and hadn't seen her before, but she was *fantastic* when I saw her last October. It was a strong cast to begin with, but she was really a highlight.

I'm curious how this will be staged - the CITS production was so unique.

The article says there will be on-stage seating for every stop of the tour, which is exciting. After seeing this production on Broadway I can't imagine being stuck way up in the mezz or balcony of a huge theater to see this Once on this Island Tour

This is shaping up to be a drop drawer tour! How exciting that Tamyra & Philip will be on board!!! Can't wait to see the restaging on a proscenium.

I think that the set will be like what they did for the Tony’s - they built a giant sandbox with bleacher style seats on the perimeter

It's interesting about the on-stage seating. I don't see any indication of it on the websites for the first few stops of the tour. I wonder how the theaters are going to handle it, will they use the seats as rush/lottery locations or will they add them in for sale at a later date? Hmmm....

(I love me some unusual seating! LOL!)

I thought Cassondra James was EXCELLENT. When I went, a lot of people were upset about missing Michelle Williams, but I was won over from the beginning

I'm so excited about this casting! I'm hoping I'll make it to Schenectady in January, as that's the closest stop to me.

FWIW stage seating for the Hershey, PA, stop is general admission and $22.50. It’s $15 cheaper than rear balcony seats.

Seeing the set for this now has me more than intrigued. Most definitely will be checking this out when it comes to Pittsburgh in the Summer of 2020...
