Show was being (or planned) to be filmed on a stage without rehearsal |

I don't know, but that sounds like how a film is normally made...except there's hardly a world in which choreo AND music AND blocking could all be taught without some type of advance rehearsal period. (Or no world in which it would be good.) If it's a film, it wouldn't be covered by Equity, that would be SAG, with the production company just renting a Broadway house for non-theatrical purposes (like Maisel and Birdman and others have done).
In an interview last year, Streisand said Scott Rudin and Barry Diller came to her with a proposal to do a very short Broadway run of GYPSY for the purposes of filming/releasing, but she doesn't have interest in acting on Broadway again.
I think you have mishmashed several things together into one recollection, kind of the way dreams are constructed. As noted, something that is filmed is not theatre. Part of your "dream" seems to relate to Nassim, a one word show in which a different actor showed up and was handed a script at the beginning of every performance and then performed it without any rehearsal. And then of course it is also seemingly drawn in part from Freestyle Love Supreme. Although of course there is no filming of these shards of your consciousness.
Hogan, Hogan, Hogan! Such a great post and yet it sounds condescending because you neglected to mention that the same is true for most memories held by all of us.
Would that have been so hard?
(As opposed to dreams, which you do acknowledge as a more or less universal experience.)

I did not think (or intend) anything condescending (I thought putting dream in quotes conveyed that) but yes most of us mash up memories sometimes. Just the other day I related the plot of a play from 20 years ago to someone, and the lead actor in it, and it turns out I was remembering a different play I had seen around the same time.

THANK YOU!! This is what I was thinking of! I saw a thread about Rebecca and kept trying to remember what was it but could only think of Rebecca lol.
Thanks for everyone else, too. Guess it was stranger than I dreamt it
