Peter Dinklage in Cyrano |
Unlikely. We've been members 2 of the past 3 seasons and I don't recall anything extending. Maybe "Sweet Charity" did, but not for a full month more. They schedule pretty tightly.

Their website actually crashed yesterday when subscriber tickets became available at noon.

I've never subscribed to anything before but if you do and there aren't tickets available do they refund you for that show? Just in case Cyrano is already all sold out. I'm thinking about signing up for the 4 show package to gurantee Cyrano and the other 3 shows look interesting to me so I wouldn't mind going to see them as well.
LxGstv : Thanks for setting the record straight. We subscribed and didn't have trouble getting tix. I remember an extension but not of that length
Broadway Joe: There are always plenty of tix for subscribers if you log in on the first day or so of subscriber access. If you wait too long you can get shut out of something popular.
Other than Charity, we have been mighty disappointed in New Group's shows (Whirligig, All The Fine Boys, Daddy, Clueless, etc) during those two subscriptions, so although this appealed to us we aren't planning to sign up again. We might buy Cyrano if we can get individual tix, but that's the only way they are getting our money again

Thank you that's good to know, the shows this year looked interesting so that's why I'm debating but I'll probably just to try to get tickets on the individual sale as well. If you wait too long and get shut out does that mean you get some money back or it's just too bad?

Also, pretty disappointed with the seating options for subscribers this time around, in previous seasons they actually offered good seats, this time around subscribers aren’t allowed to book premium seats and the options they offer aren’t that great...
I had the same experience as Wee Thomas. I subscribed for two seasons of The New Group (the first for Sweet Charity), and I didn't care for most of the shows each season. It wasn't worth it for me; I'm not subscribing again. I'll buy a single ticket to Cyrano. I did already see Cyrano at Goodspeed last year, so I won't be completely devastated to miss it, though I do think tickets should be available to the general public.
I'm guessing the answer is no since tickets are sold on Ticketmaster. Does anyone know if the new group has any promotion or deal??? For people under 35? or a student discount?? I searched high and low and couldn't find anything regarding it on their website. If not, does anyone know what how much the cheapest tickets would be? I'd love to go, but only if they price is decent. Thanks!

They promoted it right on the first page, it's why I was debating doing it since it comes out to like $42 a show if you get all 4.

this is being produced at the Daryl Roth right? so its entirely possible the show could extend...(although Broadway could be in the cards perhaps....)

Pre-sale is happening now, they are holding seats back for tomorrow’s general sale though it appears.
Tickets start at $97, $252 for premium. The way they are priced out makes me believe there will be some partial view issues?
I was able to buy two tickets for a Saturday night very easily. There aren't many seats selling for the lowest price ($97). The entire last row is $97, as well as some seats on the sides in Row A and the far sides further back. Everything else seems to be premium or near premium or $137. Still, it's a small theater, and I believe it's nicely raked, and so the view from anywhere should be great. I'm looking forward to this one!
Also very happy I didn't go with the subscription and waited for the on sale instead. It really didn't sell as quickly as I was expecting.
I got A7 on a Saturday night for the $97 price. I saw the show from a house right front aisle seat at Goodspeed and had a perfect view, so I hope it's similar here. I figured I'd go for front row house left this time for a slightly different perspective.
(This was my view at Goodspeed.)
I think you made a good choice with row B. I always like being close enough to see facial expressions, and there shouldn't be any obstructions.

I feel like those side seats on the first 3 rows might end up being rush or lottery?!
Elphie, I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts after you see it here! I assume you like the show, if you're willing to see it again.
Yes, I enjoyed the show and am definitely excited for a repeat viewing. I'm a big fan of The National so I was particularly interested in the score, and I thought the music was absolutely beautiful. I am curious to see what changes they make to the book (act 2 in particular could use some work).
