Hadestown Tour |
Am I crazy for thinking Norm Lewis would be great in this? Or do we think he wouldn't want to go on tour?
Haven't seen this one yet nor have I listened to much of it. How complicated will the set be to tour? Or is this a must see on broadway?

IMO the hardest part to replicate will be the lift that's used for characters descending/arriving into Hadestown. It's a stunning effect that's used to great impact in the show. That being said, I'd be interested in what else Rachel Chauvkin and co. could come up with.
The Ahmanson in Los Angeles has just announced this will be in their 20/21 season. Seems sort of early/eager to announce so soon...

Hoping this makes its way to Boston on its first run. Boston used to be a tier 1 city but its not as much anymore. More of a hit or miss when it comes to big shows touring in their first year.
I am very skeptical of how it will your given the stage mechanics and lighting. The Broadway lighting for this was imo the best I’ve ever seen.
We just saw Hadestown a few weeks ago. I think this set and technical qualities will transfer nicely to a tour. But finding a touring company that does justice to the magic of the original cast? Now that’s another thing. We’ll come see it in Boston.
