Hi all. Really stuck between a few shows. Already plan to catch Slave Play, but I'm also not 100% with that one. Im doing my best not to read ANYTHING on it but some brief reviews I've heard are great premise but not much past that. The other shows I am considering this fall are:

- The Sound Inside. Seems like a well acted tense drama? Im intrigued by the casting and the story. Reviews were strong from the festival this past year.

- Betrayal- Tom Hiddleston is a draw for me because I know him as Loki, but obviously I understand this show and his character will be nothing like that. Is Betrayal a must see piece? Tickets are a bit more expensive for this one than id like.

I can use LincTix for The Sound Inside and could likely only afford the $25 partial view seats for Betrayal. Any advice either way? Having a hard time deciding on either show!

PV tickets for Betrayal will be much better than the LincTix for Sound.

Don’t mean to be that guy, are they truly that bad? That’s all I hear. I can tolerate bad legroom for a good show as well.

I always expect to be some sort of uncomfortable in a Broadway theatre, sometimes I’m surprised with the nice amount of leg room and sometimes I’m forced to sit in the second circle of Hell (the rear mezzanine at Studio 54).

FYI - I bought a $36.50 for a MEZZ PARTIAL VIEW ticket in Row A, Seat 26 for Betrayal that I don’t think will be partial view at all.

In the other thread that I started seeking advice from my trip I was debating Slave Play, Betrayal and The Sound inside and ended up opting only for Betrayal out of those three shows. The reason was the consensus is that the premise of Slave Play is great, but there’s no there there. And then I read a review that was a rave but they gave away a huge spoiler that happens from act one and act two which really put the nail in the coffin on that one. And then with The Sound Inside, the consensus is that it is good but not must-see although MLP is great. But trail seems to be riding very good buzz from London and Betrayal seems to be riding very good buzz from London.

I was able to get my ticket for a Betrayal the day tix went on sale so not sure if those partial view tickets are still available for your dates.

Thanks for your thoughtful response Miles! Good to know about Betrayal. I think that one I will go for! Now for Slave Play, since you saw spoilers, is that why you didn’t feel the need to see the show? As in, you were spoiled so you no longer felt it was necessary, or were you turned off by the spoiler? I understand that may be difficult to answer without spoiling but I’m just curious. Another show option that had $39 seats

I had already decided not to see it because people said it didn’t live up to its premise. Then I started reconsidering and started reading reviews and read the spoiler review (NYT) and found the premise brilliant (not at all off-putting), but then it let all the air out of my hope balloon.

I got my Betrayal ticket on Audience Rewards for $54 plus 1500 points. I’m confirmed in Orchestra K7 which is better than what I had for The Ferryman.

I considered the $37 tickets too but was nervous about the partial view.

I’m also not interested in the other 2 plays but am interested in the one playing at the Vivian Beaumont.
