Hey guys,

A community theatre is putting on The Sound of Music and I really want to audition for the role of Liesl Von Trapp, however I'm asian. I am a soprano and a dancer and would really love the part. What are you thoughts on this? I have previously played Jane Banks in my school's production of Mary Poppins back in 2017. What do you think I should do? I understand my ethnicity may affect my chances of being fairly considered for the part.

Not to worry sweet heart. In the Community Theatre world every thing is accepted. You go and try out for Lisel you hear? You can sing a song from the show or do I Enjoy Being A Girl from Flower Drum or How Lovely To Be A Woman from Birdie. DO IT!
