Doesn't seem like we are ever going to do something serious about this. Sandy Hook should have been the final straw and yet here we are almost 7 years later with this horrible stuff still going on not even 24 hours apart. It's extremely sad and frustrating.

I live in Dayton. I am safe, but I don't know that all of my friends are. I have no words right now. I'm sure I will in time, but right now all I have is heartbreak and anguish.

When I saw that nothing changed after Sandy Hook, I knew we were lost.

4 shootings, 34 (I think) are dead - many others wounded.  All within one week.

I'm sick of the mass shootings and the gun-toting Saturday night hell-raisers who terrorize parts of some cities regularly.  But, I'm also sick of some otherwise sane people treating the second amendment as if it were sacrosanct.  Absent the will to touch the second amendment, universal background checks must go into effect soon as well as outlawing second amendment sanctuary resolutions at the county & municipal level.

It’s put a pallor over everything today for me. Sandy Hook was the end of the serious conversation of gun violence. Once politicians decided NRA endorsements and contributions were more important than dead kids, there was no hope of going forward with serious gun control measures. Our only hope going forward is a Democratic president plus both houses ruled by Democrats.

What color is the sun in the world you live in?  Sad as this situation is even the Dems won't be able to change the conversation . If the gun lobby really thinks the Dems r getting into power they will channel $$ to them to get them in their debt.  Dance with them that brung u.

This is almost as sad as the shootings themselves.  Look at us.  This is why I can't talk to many friends and family.  57 and never felt so low about our country.

Hillary won NY so my vote for the presidential election which is what those posts are strictly about would have had absolutely no change in anything. I didn't vote for Hillary or Trump and I still stand by my opinion that both candidates were absolutely awful.

So good job wasting your time looking those up to prove absolutely nothing.  Hell if anything you just showed how right I was, Hillary won NY and Trump has been absolutely terrible just like I said!
