It removes the ability for bots to buy up a bunch of tickets at once, so... sounds good!

Yes, and the queue system should help so the site doesn't CRASH every time a major event (Bette Midler, Freestyle Love Supreme) goes on sale. It's a smart move.
Now all they need to do is re-design the site for 2019 standards, integrate Telecharge Offers into regular Telecharge, and make it so the Telecharge ticket-buying portal can be embedded into a show's website for ease of access.
As antiquated as Telecharge's website is, I'm usually able to get the seats I want. Not so with Ticketmaster, where I can be randomly assigned number 2000 in a queue, and seats keep disappearing and reappearing. At least with Telecharge it's been first come, first served, which is something I like, so I'm just hoping it doesn't become too much like Ticketmaster.
I hear you CT2NYC. I normally am able to get the seats I want as well with the current telecharge setup. Never with Ticketmaster so we'll see how this Rest Assured thing will work. Hopefully it's not an exact copy of ticketmaster's verified fan.
As far as ticket resales, I still think telecharge will eventually have it in the future once they have the technology to do so. Right now, the Shuberts are practically giving money to stubhub. If telecharge has a resale feature, then at least the Shuberts will make more $$$ in fees and what not.
Also, I'm assuming that this will be implemented for The Music Man, and I'm already preparing to be annoyed.

I assumed that was WHY they rolled it out, until they mentioned they already used it for Hamilton in Philly...
I'm with CT2NYC. Historically, I've almost always gotten better seats through Telecharge than with Ticketmaster, and I fear that this is the first step in turning Telecharge into Ticketmaster II. I see higher prices and lots of resellers in the future.

That will always be true, no matter what.
I don't think anything that would be going on Telecharge would warrant a system like this, but then there are times I can't use the seating chart map to select the seats I want without it crashing so I imagine any small boost in people trying buy tickets at once could crash their website. It sucks because despite all of their site's flaws they still manage to be better than Ticketmaster.
