On a similar note, in response to the backlash about the trailer, Gary Goddard (late of Broadway 4D) has posted designs from his proposed 3D/4D production of Cats here and here. A glance at these mildly-modified-from-the-original set and costume ideas certainly looks better than what I saw in the trailer, though that's not saying much.

That artwork has the retro feel of German Expressionism.

I would have liked to see it.
