Not sure if there a scheduling issue (which seems odd but that is what they are saying), but they just canceled Charlie from our Charlotte season and added "What the Constitution Means to Me" (a weird substitution for a big family musical, but that's a different story)

Hard to imagine the Bluementhal Performing Arts Center would have trouble scheduling this show. The season does have family shows like "Frozen", Anastasia" and "My Fair Lady" on the schedule so it is not like there is nothing family oriented. Glad they have "Come From Away" on the schedule which is excellent.

Has it just not been selling well? Didn’t they also put it out on a full production contract. Maybe they should’ve went with a SETA contract.

Charlie is part of the Tulsa, OK tour season and was supposed to open in November I believe. However, it’s recently been changed to June so I’m not quite sure what’s going on with it.
So is the tour going non-equity in October? I know some of the original cast is leaving (Brynn Williams posted that her last show will be in October on Instagram) but I hadn't seen anything about it going non-equity. Only curious because I'm supposed to be seeing it in March, and I haven't heard anything about that show in my subscription being cancelled.
I’m surprised there’s not a longer break after the 1st national ends - the Stop after Tampa is only 9 days later. Was it planned to stay equity longer?
I had thought that there was usually some time off after the tour ends to rehearse the new cast and make any modifications to the production itself to scale it back. Are they going to be cancelling more stops later this year?
