Yup I saw it. This is my first time seeing him live and I was entertained. The first hour is his main set and if you read the NYT review, it's pretty spot on in terms of what topics he covers.

The real gem is in the second hour when he does a live q&a from the audience with some improv mixed in there. If you're a huge Chappelle fan and have been dying to ask him questions live, then it's probably worth it to pay for premium seats since most of the questions he took were from the audience sitting in those areas. He did take questions from the mezzanine and rear mezzanine, but he even admitted he can barely see them due to the lighting.

Since no cell phones are allowed (they used Yondr pouches) it was interesting to see during pre-show how people simply conversed with one another more rather than browsing apps/internet on their cellphone. Made me think of pre-smartphone era days.

Show starts at 8pm but the opener really started at around 8:20. I'd say Chappelle started his set at around 8:50pm-8:55pm. I left the theater at around 10:45pm. There was a line at the end to unlock the pouches but it moved really quickly.

Note on the pouches: they look generic and if you don't have a purse/bag/large pockets, you have to hold onto it which can be annoying/cumbersome. So many people tried to open them but was unsuccessful. I didn't see any cellphone usage at all nor heard any random ringtones during the show which was quite nice. I'm curious whether this may be more common in the future.

Stick a key through them and they open pretty easily, they aren't hard to rip.

Good to know! I have plans on seeing the show again this weekend (and will try your method) lol.

I heard Jon Stewart did the opening act on Wednesday evening and Ronny Chieng (crazy rich asians) did it last night. If anyone was there on those evenings, would be great to hear what happened.

SPOILERS:

I saw the show on Wednesday and Jon opened. He had a good set and closed by comparing his post-9/11 feelings with the feelings of today’s political climate (with a punchline, of course).

After Dave’s set, Jon came out during the Q&A and answered questions alongside Dave. It felt like a 45-minute long hangout and was a real highlight, just as Wick3 said in their post. My brother said that while Jon was good, and he really was, Dave’s set was so good and his impromptu jokes were equally strong such that it made Jon Stewart seem not as funny. I think they both added to the Q&A, though.
