Looking at Telecharge for WSS, there are seats in row D of the Orchestra that are relatively inexpensive, with row E jumping up to Premium pricing. These orchestra seats are also cheaoer than the mezzanine. Are these good seats? Or too close in this theatre?

I jumped on some of the Row D seats in February. I'm slightly concerned they will end up being partial view for some reason, but they seemed too good to pass on!

My guess is they think it's too close to pay the premium price. I jumped on the Row D seats as well. I can't imagine what obstruction there would be. The same seats 1 row behind are literally $230 more per seat. The view can't be that bad one row ahead of that.

What price are the Row D seats and where are they located (center or sides)?

The ones I saw were aisle, up to 4 seats in I think. And they were $158 before fees. The aisle seats in Row E are $375 before fees.

I got a seat in row K for less than $100 including fees for the first preview!

Thank you. I saw some side orchestra seats in Row K for $79 and was wondering if they might be partial view being farthest over on the side.

I had the first row of the mezzanine last week (purchased via TodayTix). I couldn’t have been more pleased with the seats. For King Kong i really feel like they were the best seats in the house. The puppet is amazing to see - and from those seats you saw everything. I think much of the journey to Skull Island would be lost in the orchestra.

Just be aware —- no seats will fix the book or the score. But even with those flaws, I enjoyed it.

I think people are wondering for West Side Story

Sure...but the op is talking about West Side Story...not King Kong.

I'm counting on you being correct!

Is there any indication that WSS will or won't be using the orchestra pit?

The $145 center orchestra tickets start again at row Q, I decided to go with that because I prefer to get a broader view of the whole stage than to be too close.  I hope it turns out good.

Interested in taking my students. They have O-R (the last rows) or K-N in the mezz for student tickets. Leaning toward K-N, but I'm still not sure that those will even be good. I know it's a big theatre. Saw Frozen from the balcony of the St. James and basically thought it was a waste of money. Any input?

Without knowing the age of your students, I might suggest the mezzanine only because of the steeper slope, so there is less of a chance of their view being blocked by tall people (grown-ups). Also for whatever it's worth - I went on a class trip to see the Phantom when I was in 6th grade and I had never seen a broadway show before. I was absolutely mesmerized and it literally changed my life - though looking back on it we were all the way in the back of the rear mezzanine - terrible seats but it didn't matter to me at all Broadway Theatre seating

FYI, regarding the rear mezzanine, the seating chart on Telecharge is very deceiving. The "Rear Mezzanine Right Center" section is, in fact, the center section, with seats 109-111 being dead center.

The rear mezzanine at the Broadway is awful. It's like being in a completely different theatre altogether, and it is not raked very steeply which means you are likely to have your view blocked by the person sitting in front of you.

Yeah, don't ever sit in the rear mezz of The Broadway. I saw Fiddler from both the rear orchestra & the rear mezz, and the rear orchestra provided a better view by far. It is also raked a bit, so you should be able to see fine.

The last time I sat up there was in 1985, for The King & I with Yul Brynner, and I can't remember how bad it was. I was considering it for WSS, but, since I was able to use the discount for orchestra row D, I won't have to subject myself to the torture again.
