Female Leading Player Auditions Songs

Hello! So one of the places I do theatre at is doing Pippin next year and I need help picking a song to sing. You dont sing a song from the show. I want to sing something that isnt very common but I want to pick whats best for me! I want to be able to show my own portrayal of the role and be able to stand out. Please help!!

 Pippin is such a great show! 

Live Out Loud (A Little Princess) is great for belting & def has character, so a good song to choose. It's my go to audition song.

One Perfect Moment (Bring It On) might be a little off for a Pippin audition, but it's a gorgeous song and showcases your higher notes, but it's still easy enough to sing for me (technically a mezzo but i pretend i'm a soprano on a daily basis).

Something from Chicago could be great- the low belt is what you want to show off for Leading Player, and Chicago's got that. 

Honestly what I do is either ask my vocal teacher for suggestions (they prob know your voice & more songs/shows than you do) or shuffle my playlist until i find a good song.
