Kelly Anne Conway and Jon Voight attend Hello Dolly |
Yes, I do. I believe their goal was to recruit Betty to sing "Before the Parade Passes By" at Trump's 'tanks-and-jet-fighters' military march on July 4th. My preference would be "Soon It's Gonna Rain" from 'The Fantasticks' but that's just me.

Ha! Betty probably threw up in her mouth a little .
can I suggest a song from Spring Awakening I can't type out the name of here? I know it's not in her key but who cares?

Bette too. She refused to even say the word "Trump" in "I Put My Hand In There."

Bette would have definitely refused.

Don't you have that backwards?
Ah. I saw Jon Voight in the Acela Lounge on Monday afternoon and wondered where he was going. Figured it was DC because he is a big 45 supporter. He must be part of the ridiculous show today at the Lincoln Memorial.

" I just saw on Instagram that they attended yesterday. You think they went backstage to see Betty?"
I truly doubt it, they are not stupid and know they are disliked by the Broadway and Hollywood community.

I believe it is called sarcasm .
Some of the dynamics suggested in this thread across as rather immature and not the classiest nor best way to deal with conflict.

Oh lighten up...
I hope they paid particularly close attention to the line about money being like manure in that it's not worth anything unless it's spread around, encouraging young things to grow. There's a lot they could have learned from this show, though I doubt they did.

I know you are but what am I?!!
So there!
You people are pathetic. You’re like a bunch of immature mean girls who don’t like who is in the audience, so let’s stomp our feet and refuse to perform!
You’re the exact reason why this country is so divided. May Karma visit you all and have you play to empty houses.

People are just joking about something they don't like and you are reading an awful lot into some harmless humor. BTW, I may be wrong about this and I can in no way prove it, but I think my joke about Betty singing at Trump's parade is just a smidge less divisive than locking up innocent children, not providing them with soap, toothbrushes or beds, then saying they're being treated properly. What d'ya think?

I thought it was that the country treats marginalized people like rats, but what do I know...
"Is it true you have Ralph Jr at the bottom of your purse in a jar of formaldehyde?" - Felicia
"No, but I wish I did so I could shove it down your throat!" - Bernadette
"This play is sh*t! This play is sh*t! F*CK YOU TERRENCE MCNALLY!!"- Patti LuPone as an angry theatre goer at 'Master Class'
"Being normal is VASTLY overrated..."
- Aggie Cromwell

They're the exact reason why the county is so divided- really? If I'm not mistaken, they are not the ones responsible for trying to bring the nation together, especially in the times and conditions we're living in; rather, we have a person in office and his administration that refuse to condemn/denounce acts of racism or the way others treat different groups of people in the US. A lot of such comments you speak of on this board are are simply a cry of frustration, which you can't blame because those that have power to try to unite the county aren't doing so or refuse to acknowledge it as a problem.
