A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. Billy Porter is every single one of us theatre kids, pretending like we‘re not ready to sing just before grabbing the mic and delivering a tour-de-force.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

His NYTimes profile said that's what's working up towards and it would be a dream. He really would be perfect. I expect a Lola bit"
Yes, please!!

I thought the same thing. He should definitely be the host for next year! He would be phenomenal. People would watch it for the outfits alone! His voice is out of this world and he has a larger than life personality.
James Corden was off for some reason this year. Either he did not trust the material or he felt he needed more rehearsal.
The commercial-time karaoke bits I've seen online are loose and hilarious, and it looks like many of the B'way performers in attendance were having a blast. I bet the Oscars aren't any fun during the commercial breaks, everybody seems so serious and almost grim.
After John Stewart went to Washington I thought Billy Porter should take a trip to stand up for transgender rights. I realize he is not transgender, but his rage would be on par with that of Mr. Stewart. We need more of that sort of thing in Washington.
