Ever wonder what happends to the characters of your favorite classical musicals when the curtain comes down? For example, take The Music Man. What do YOU think happends to Harold and Marian? Here's what I think: Harold and Marian get married and end up having five children, three boys and two girls. With the help of Marian, Harold works hard going to night school to get his high school and college diplomas. He becomes a bonefied certified music and band teacher of the Rivercity High School. Marian continues to run the library. Winthrop grows up over coming his speech impediment and marries Amaryllis. Mrs. Shinn becomes involved with the woman's sufferage movement. Two of Harold's son go off to fight in WWII but only one survives. Mother Paroo dies after helping raise the Hill children. Harold and Marian retire from their jobs in the mid-50's and make it just in time to see a musical done about them in 1957 before playing in the band in the sky.
