There is no dress rehearsal. Between yesterday and today, each musical performing ran their numbers and spaced the opening they will be featured in. That’s it. Each section takes hours and was split up in two afternoons. Each show additionally works their numbers Sunday morning. No official run of the broadcasted show will be done.

Is this the first year they've split it?

I'm watching the kids while my husband is working the dress rehearsal tomorrow, so if there isn't one, I'm going to have some uncomfortable questions for him...

(Yes, there's a dress rehearsal).

There is definitely a dress rehearsal, and I’d love to score a ticket if anyone has an extra. I’m told I’m delightful company at shows — by which I mean I don’t talk, use my phone, snack, or shift around too much in my seat.

Hi guys,

Yes of course there is a dress rehearsal that takes place at 9am in NY, I've been to one last year and it was fun and amazing, especially all the performances like Frozen.

I have 3 tickets available,  my best offer so far for all 3 is $220. I live in Brooklyn and can meet tonight or tomorrow morning to give them in person.

Questions please email me at onlybeststuff@gmail.com

Thanks

David

Aren’t they given away for free? I was not aware they were ever for sale? Are there still tickets left at the box office?

These are not available for sale anywhere, it's invite only.. usually the nominees and all the performers can give these out ... I got my tickets from the actual producer of the show.

So you got tickets for free, and now you’re selling them for a profit? Very cool! I’m sure the producer you got these from would be thrilled with this!

Sorry everyone for the confusion. I meant that the Sunday run isn’t open to the public for purchase. It’s solely for those invited and still isn’t an official dress rehearsal as a lot is smushed together/skipped. I’m sorry for the misinformation

I don’t know what you are taking about. The dress rehearsal was an official dress rehearsal, they did all of the performances.

I was just there.

What did Beetlejuice perform? I can’t wait to watch them and I was wondering what number/medley they are doing.

SPOILER: They began with the principal cast (minus Brightman) singing an abridged “Day-O” which segued into Brightman and the ensemble doing “The Whole Being Dead Thing,” with new lyrics specifically for the Tonys. Lots of fun!!

Yup, this was definitely the full show this morning minus a few cameos that had stand ins! Don’t know if this was my feeling just because I was in the room, but I thought the whole show was really fantastic and the best overall show in YEARS!

The opening is killer, probably my favorite since the NPH “Bigger” one. And there is a pre-recorded bit that was really amazing and the audience completely ate it up!

Very much looking forward to how it all plays out tonight!

IMHO, the whole season overall is much more diversified (IMO) than last season, and while I adore SB & JG for their own individual talents, Corden is much better suited for host. I think those two elements combined is what made for such a fantastic show!! Just have to add the element of winner announcements tonight!! Can’t wait!!
