24 candidates now, it sounds crazy, my two favorite picks are Warren and Buttigieg. I'm a leftist and Warren is spunky and seems to be out energizing Bernie. Mayor Pete is just a genius. I like how Biden beats Dump in the polls now, but is this where we want to go? Winning is everything and I know a lot of stupid people who Like Biden and Dump. Maybe he does have the best chance of winning, and he'll get the votes. I just hope he has dosen't have any senior moments that could prove bad.
Buttigieg and Biden are my favorites followed by Harris and Warren.
And, as much as I dislike Bernie and Gabbard, ANY of the 24 on their worst days are a billion times better than this guy on his best day.
So frankly, in a year, if Biden continues to be the one who polls best in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Ohio among I's, Moderate R's, and other Obama/Trump voters -- he absolutely should be the nominee. Winning is truly the only thing that matters next November.
I agree with LYLS that whoever seems to be polling the best in the important swing states is who will have my support in the primaries and we should all rally behind whoever the eventual nominee is as any one of them is better than the alternative. I also believe that an important factor will be who the chosen running mate is. Election Fraud/meddling/Russian interference aside, I believe one of Clinton’s problems was her safe (read: boring) choose for Veep.
The candidates I’m leaning towards are: Biden, Buttigieg, Warren, Harris, and Klobuchar.
Ideal pairs would be:
Biden/Harris
Harris/Buttigieg
Warren/Buttigieg
Biden/Klobuchar
I also think Sherrod Brown would be an ideal Veep to one of the woman candidates. I’m a huge fan of his and believe he should have been HRC’s Running mate. He’s a superstar in Ohio.
Also, I’m really hoping the speculation is true that my own representative, Justin Amash, is planning on running as a third party candidate for the Libertarian party. That could be the nail in the coffin for 45’s chance at re-election. The DeVos Dynasty that owns and controls my hometown has already withdrew their support for him for his re-election.
Im liking Warren the most right now. She jus seems like someone who actually gives an F about the future of this country and their legal system and is calling for impeachment. So she's got my vote in the primary. A lot of Dems currently in office seem focused just on 2020 and idk I feel thats wrong. For the sake of this country we need to do whats right and begin impeachment inquires, no matter if the senate won't impeach. Open up the corruption, and really show everyone whats up. But no, Pelosi is just letting him get by. I want to trust her, but Im not loving the way she's handling all of this.
I love Mayor Pete, but it seems feel like Biden is the likely nominee. I would love it if Biden picks Pete for his VP.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
At some point Bernie is going to have to throw his support behind Warren or one of the other candidates. That is when his list becomes invaluable. The list of poor ass donors from from 2016, like me, must be worth something.
Just remember, Beto and Warren were the first to call for impeachment and stand up for the rule of law. They read Mueller's report when it was released, which clearly no one else did after yesterday, and they've been calling for impeachment since. Mueller yesterday basically just reiterated his report. I support them the most right now. Its not even an anti Donald thing, NO President ever should act like this and get away with it. Dems in Congress don't seem to be doing anything however, since Nancy said that they won't begin impeachment inquiries or proceedings still. Does anyone actually care about this country anymore? While its also sorta been the case, EVERYTHING is political now. Theres no more right and wrong. UGH.
It's so early but my picks are still Buttigieg and Warren. Somehow South Carolina is more key than ever. Who can get the south, the black vote, or most of it. That is where the Sanders campaign failed 3 years ago.
It's about defeating that sociopath and getting people actually excited about who is running, which is tough. Obama was a once in a lifetime deal. The voter turn out both times for him were amazing. So, it should be a Biden/Harris ticket to appeal to women, people of color, and younger voters. Plus, Obama will endorse him at the convention, which will be huge for him. Bernie will never win because a socialist will never rule this country. Mayor Pete is great, but he is too young, and only white educated people and LGTQIA people will vote for him. It's not enough, he should try again in 2028.
I won't know for sure until after the debates, but currently I like Biden and Warren. Some days I'm 100% Biden, other days I'm 100% Warren - so time will tell and the debates will help.
A reporter said something about why Warren can't win...."She's a 4 syllable candidate in a 1 syllable country." I think that's accurate.
Bill de Blasio is a a joke and we're all in on it. But, dude gets media-whoring like no one else in the Democratic field. I actually found him both entertaining and rather effective in last's debate between Warren and the bush league. He knew exactly when to interject himself to steal a respondent's thunder, and how to play his trump card with respect to his son with aplomb. I gathered that he was playing for the audience outside the NE corridor because insiders know that he's full of shaite. Wouldn't vote for him if he paid me. But, Mr Mayor did a good job culling the herd starting with Beto "Empty Suit" O'Rourke. And his physical stature alone overpowered OH rep Tim Ryan who looked like a deer frozen in headlights standing beside him.
The nomination is Biden's to lose. I'll take Warren as an alternate with the hope that her crusader vibe doesn't somehow repulse too much of the electorate. I still find her unquestionably qualified but arguably unelectable as potus. I don't see a path to 270 for her and any running mate from the current crop. I'm envisioning a Biden/Harris ticket even now ahead of tonight's debates. However, I'm most impressed by Tulsi Gabbard and Mayor Pete Buttigieg who I believe would make one hell of a ticket were Trump not up for re-election. Trump remains an intractable anomaly so the rest of us must make the necessary adjustments to countermand the will of his base, as well as beat back Mitch McConnell's plans for the federal judiciary.
I would not touch Tulsi Gabbard with a ten foot pole.
The only real loser last night was Beto, whose campaign seemed to deflate like a balloon in front of everybody’s eyes. I think running for Senate against Ted Cruz in Texas is a very different game than attempting to win the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination. He looked out of his depth, unprepared, and unready.
Elizabeth Warren seemed capable and effective. Julián Castro piqued my interest for the first time last night. I could be happy with a Warren/Castro ticket.
Very excited for tonight’s debates. I do not support Biden but I was recently reminded of his performance against Paul Ryan in 2012 and am eager to see him on a debate stage again. I’m also curious to see how Mayor Pete fares tonight— he has a lot of potential to impress, or possibly implode ala O’Rourke.
Of candidates who present themselves well and can stand up strongly to Trump:
Harris Warren
Biden
Bernie
Pretty much in that order with intentional spaces. Having said that, I’ll support anybody that can beat Trump in 2020 and I think that will probably end up being Biden.
God as a young democrat please anyone other than Biden and anyone other than the old white guy. Lets freaking change America. Mayor Pete, Warren, and Harris all have my 100% support in this race. Of course Ill vote for Biden in the general if necessary but he is another Hillary candidate waiting to happen for this party and I fear he won't inspire the voter turnout we desperately need.
I am 3/4 of the way through the second debate and thus far, Mayor Pete is electric. It makes me wonder if one of the benefits of being a newcomer is having little record to defend from attacks. Still, I cannot shake off my fear that some voters will not cast a ballot for him because of his sexuality.
Thus far Harris has come off very well. Bernie and Biden seem tired. I’m interested to seeing if these debates effect the polling in anyway. Everything said, I am excited by our entire crop of candidates and they are all much more qualified and better suited to the White House than the current occupant. I am excited to win! We must win!
" God as a young democrat please anyone other than Biden and anyone other than the old white guy. Lets freaking change America. Mayor Pete, Warren, and Harris all have my 100% support in this race :
As somebody who is not a Democrat, I think your best shot is Harris as the nominee and for VP she needs to find a decent Governor from flyover country. This way the ticket is not just two people from the coasts and you have somebody who has executive experience.

A Pete/Kamala ticket would do wonders for democrats in my opinion. I really think people overestimate Biden, he's not our candidate, not for 2020. He, and Bernie had their chances in 2016 but the time has passed for them.
It is still so early to have much of an idea as to what is going to happen, Some candidates will drop out along the way and then their votes will go to someone else. I have a feeling Biden will sharpen up his debating skills.
