How Long Will Jenn Colella Be in Come From Away?

I absolutely adore Jenn Colella's version of Me & The Sky, it's probably one of my favorite recordings in recent Broadway history, so it killed me when, last year, I saw CFA and she was out. I saw the absolutely incredible Julie Reiber, and she was wonderful, but I still wished I could've seen Jenn. My school is seeing CFA on June 1st and I've been obsessively checking Playbill to see if she's still on the current cast or not, since she'll be in Peter Pan. Does anybody know how long she'll be staying with the cast?

As you’ve mentioned she be staring in the lead role of PETER PAN up in Pittsburgh as part of the Pittsburgh CLO summer series from Jul 12 - Jul 21, 2019. I’m not sure how much lead time she’ll have to practice and learn lines, but I imagine I’ll be several weeks before the first performance with some time off maybe before hand. However, I can’t imagine she’ll leave by June 1st (next Saturday) if they haven’t already announced her replacement.

She's only taking a leave from Come From Away to do Peter Pan. They've added another understudy for Beverly/Annette, Holly Ann Butler, and I believe her and Julie will be rotating the role for however many weeks Jenn will be out.

I'm so relieved that she's not leaving for good. I saw CFA in Toronto last summer but have yet to see it on Broadway (although I did stagedoor in January and meet her!) and it's one of my biggest dreams to see her perform, so I hope there's a chance of it still happening. Unless she's ill or on vacation or something I imagine she'd be on June 1st.

I know this response doesn't exactly address your question, but I have to say that it's amazing to look at the cast list of Come From Away and realize that 10 of the original 12 leads are still with the show a couple years into the run. Who can blame them? It's a huge hit, they get to tell an amazing story night after night and the audience goes nuts at the end every time.

Yes, Chowd95, agreed- and it’s only an hour and a half, no intermission, so they’re off for the night while other shows are finishing act 1- and I assume being paid the same as those actors in 3 hour shows! I wouldn’t leave either! Absolutely loved the show.

Oh I absolutely adore the show, so I’ll be happy no matter whether or not she’s in, I just was personally hoping she would be in when I saw it because I love her on the cast album.
