I think that's a huge exaggeration. A few posters replied to his posts in the "Audience Members Singing Along" thread and I very respectfully asked him why he sings aloud to the title song of HELLO, DOLLY! three times every time he sees the show. I was sincerely asking, not "piling on".
I love reading Dollypop's post and his love of Dolly is amazing. But, the question was a bit of a no-brainer- and of course- he should have expected mostly negative responses.
I've been hospitalized since Feb and am now in rehab. All of this is due to an allergic reaction to anaesthesia.
As for my singing along with HELLO, DOLLY!, I feel entwined with the show and cannot contain myself. People who sit near me claim my enthusiasm for the show is contagious.

Glad you are on the mend. The day you were trying to book tickets for Bettes return in Dolly from your church rehearsal and sharing the angst with this board is CLASSIC!

Thanks for answering my question. I have to admit your enthusiasm is well-earned.
I'm so sorry about the health problems. Please do get better soon!

I booked those DOLLY tickets during an actual church service. I don't recall whether it was a wedding or a funeral.
As for me health: I'm building up strength in my leg muscles so I can walk again.
My sister was impressed with my progress and commented that I'd be doing thevtwo-step in no time. I corrected her and told her my goal is to learn all the tracks of "The Wsiters' Gallop" and perform it live.
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
