The entire alley is barricaded to pedestrian traffic and emergency response people seem to be present. Does anyone know whats going on?

Is the an estimated time this construction will end and the scaffolding will come down? It looks fairly extensive and appears to run the length of the entire alley...

Is it becoming enclosed? And is foot traffic allowed through?

The brick exterior above the One Shubert Alley boutique is the culprit so its needing to be repaired. The scaffolding is to catch any debris that continues to fall. You can still walk thru the alley, just not along the scaffolding area. They’re not doing construction to enclose Shubert Alley.

Thank you! I was last in the city just before this happened.

One imagines they should sort this out by the end of September...

Still easily walk thru able. I did notice that stage doors seemed less busy for the shows there, not sure if it had to do with the scaffolding or not. My cousins thought they were renaming it "Nathan Lane" but then realized that he was just in a show at the Booth...
