So Jeremy Jordan is out for another Waitress show (he's sick). He's missed a few performances so far for his limited run, (for valid reasons) but has anyone who has had tickets to see him when he's been out successfully switched tickets for another performance or gotten a refund? Trying to prepare if he misses my performance on May 12th.

I have seen Waitress before and got these tickets solely to see him in it, I know nothing is guaranteed with theatre but since this will be my second time paying for the show, I'd rather not see it when he's out.

(Before I get 100 messages about how I should just see the understudies because they work so hard and are amazing, I bet they are fantastic. I would suck it up and see them if this was my first time seeing it, but I would preferably like to see Jeremy given its a limited run and I have never seen him on Broadway)

I understand where you're coming from. I bought tickets to see Sara, only to find out that day she was going to be out of the performance (this was before I learned how amazing Tornsy is). The box office was super helpful about letting me exchange my tickets! Either call Ticketmaster or stop by the box office if you can, and they should be able to help you (Ticketmaster has always been great for me!).

Awesome! Thank you, Magictodo123! I'm going with my family for my birthday and they have also seen the show before too, so I doubt they'd be happy to have spent $ on three tickets for a Jeremy-less performance when that is why we booked it. Again, completely understandable that he's been out.

Happy to hear they were helpful and understanding with your situation! I'm from NYC and bought my ticket in person so will probably go to the box office day of if this issue arises.

I know they usually only allow refunds if the person who is out is above the title, wasn't sure if Jeremy counted and if exchanges had a different policy because I could totally see him another night.

Oh I completely understand. This was a birthday present to myself and while I would have been fine if Jeremy was out when I saw it, I'd never seen him or Shoshana in anything, so I would have been a little disappointed (never to the point of badmouthing them on social media though). But yes, the box office was totally understanding when I switched when Sara was out, so I'm pretty sure you should have no problem! Enjoy the show--Jeremy Jordan and Shoshana Bean are so great together in it!

Anyone know if he was back at the matinee today?

First off, amazing name, great RENT reference.

Secondly, I am seeing some posts on instagram that make me believe he was in today.

I know Jeremy's mom is seeing the matinee tomorrow, so he will probably be in tomorrow if he is feeling okay, given that she flew in. (I'm personally hoping he is in for the evening show and doesn't just do the matinee for some weird reason)

I’m in the same boat as you— seeing the evening show. Fingers crossed for us both.
