so this is essentially just a bigger version of his solo show on broadway....ill wait til it inevitably hits Netflix.

I loved his show on Broadway back in 2011. It was so intimate and entertaining! I'm still debating whether to go when he's in NYC but it's also pride weekend (and tix to his show are $$$).

Hugh Jackman reprises the title song and reunites with the original cast of the Royal National Theatre's revival of OKLAHOMA! ( 1998-1999) during one of his shows at the London O2 Arena --

I have tickets for one of his Melbourne shows but I may instead be in Florida having cancer treatment at that time. Hopefully I will either be in the States by the end of this month and can get up to New York for one of those shows or will be back in time for his final Melbourne show and can sometime swap or sell my tickets.

That's awesome. I was really bummed to not see any Oklahoma in his set list. What a nice treat for the London audience.

I was fortunate enough to catch him open the US leg of the tour in Houston last night, and I have to say? It was SO much fun! Jackman’s in tip-top shape on all fronts; his singing was much better than in that one Greatest Showman performance they did outside a few months ago, and his dancing was fantastic. (I especially loved one part where he tapdanced to AC/DC, of all things. It surprisingly worked.) It’s well worth the time and money if you’re a Hugh fan!

Side note, but it doesn’t look like Keala Settle stayed for the US portion of the tour, because Jackman instead introduced a different woman to sing This Is Me while he went backstage to change outfits. The woman (I’d have to check my souvenir booklet for her name) was a GREAT singer, possibly even better than Settle, so I couldn’t really complain.

I was there last night also. The singer’s name was Jenna Lee-James and she is apparently an English stage actress.

Billboard reports that the Jackman show has topped the chart for the reported period, earning $ 23.4 million on its European leg ( based on gross receipts) --

Hope we run into each other! Although I still have to fly halfway across the world to get there ( always the case when I want to see Broadway shows) 

It's probably wishful thinking -- but I am very excited  to see on who turn(s) up as special guests, other than Keala. Maybe his "feud" friends - Ryan and Jake??  Maybe Sutton?

Next weekend cannot come too soon for me--I'm so looking forward to HJ's shows at MSG.  Nothing "basic" about them.  As he did with his astonishing THE BOY FROM OZ and BACK TO BROADWAY, he   makes every show a little different and exciting because he's so spontaneous and audience reactive.

Totally agree with what Mamaleh said! This setting is the perfect venue for Hugh!! Even more so than The Music Man that Hugh is doing next year. In a concert type setting he interacts with the audience. He is so genuine and personable. Jo, I will be with Ellen next weekend so I am sure we will meet up. Have a safe flight!!

I saw this last night and despite seeing clips of other tour stops on youtube, did not know what to expect or whether I would enjoy it. It was a fun, delightful experience. It really was an all ages crowd and Hugh just oozes charisma. I am sure that he tells the same stories and same jokes at every venue, but he somehow is able to make everything seem fresh and like he is just ad libbing this stuff just for you. I would call it less of a concert and more of a song and dance with storytelling experience. Hugh took the stage at precisely 7:30, there is a 20 minute intermission about an hour in and then the show ended right around 9:30. This was our set list:

It was a fun night, Hugh is so supremely talented, his voice sounded great, you wouldn't know that he has been packing in tour stops night after night. I highly recommend. He sounded so much better on stage performing Valjean's Soliloquoy than he did in the Les Miz movie too.

Intermission included, I’d say the show lasted around two and a half hours.

Going to the show on Friday night at MSG. .  Does anyone know what time he takes the stage and when the show ends?

For us, the show started around 7:15, but that's probably because a lot of people were still finding their seats when 7:00 hit. With that, we ended up getting out around 9:45-ish.
