She postponed tonight due to her knee injury. Plans to go Thursday and Saturday and open next Wednesday in Chicago. That sounds like a tall order. Knee injuries are the worst. I hope she heals quickly and feels better

She’s such a trooper. You never would’ve known she was in pain on stage the last few shows, but she had to have been. She had knee pads and bandages. I imagine she tried to not cancel until her body & care team told her she needed to.

I got an email from Ticketmaster this week updating the start times for the Las Vegas shows in 2 weeks to 10:30pm.

Reports from Chicago this week are that shows have been starting at between 11 - 11:15 & ending about 1:30 - 1:45 am.

The 1st LA show on Nov 12 has been cancelled.

Why did she cancel in LA?

They’ve pretty much cancelled the first date in each city so far so I’d expect that to be a norm. The official line has been due to specialized technical issues with the production.

The start times listed by inception have been the norm thus far. Glad the official announcements are now closer to the actual start time. For me at least, it was more than worth the wait, obviously both times I saw it at BAM. I’m trying to catch it at least one more time before the tour goes overseas. I thought maybe I’d see her again in Philly, but it looks I’ll be working that week (possibly in NYC - so not complaining) so now looking at either LA or more likely Miami.

I hope she doesn’t cancel anymore, what a nightmare for fans who are traveling and booking flights and hotels.

I saw Phil Collins 2 weeks ago. The freaking guy can barely walk but started a concert scheduled for 8 p.m. at 8:20 and proceeded to deliver a great 2+ hour set. Seeing a concert doesn't need to be a crapshoot as to whether the artist will go on because of technical issues that should have long since been ironed out in tour prep. The people on this board lose their minds when a huge star in a broadway show misses a matinee but somehow with Madonna, well, it's just how she rolls.

I agree it sucks for those who have booked unrefundable travel.

With the exception of one date when she had to cancel day-of due to a knee injury, cancelled dates are announced days or most often weeks ahead of time. It’s almost always at the beginning of a sit-down in a new city so it appears it has to do with the time it takes to move the production elements to the next city and retrofit them to the new theatre. Just my guess. I will say that I know she received a lot of money upfront for signing that all inclusive deal with Live Nation, but I don’t think they’ve managed her marketing or concert tours well.

And yes, some people on here have lost their minds when a star is out at a performance they’re attending. I’ve been a little disappointed, but then I saw some awesome understudies that many people didn’t get to see.

As far at M’s lateness, it’s established by now. It’s like having a friend who is always late for everything. You either deal with it and accept it, unfriend them, or quit inviting them to do things with you.

Personally, I enjoy the long lead up to the show. Gives me time to let my excitement build, hit the merch table, get a cocktail or two and talk to fellow fans. When I saw her on October 3, I made friends with one guy from Ecuador, another 19 y.o. guy from China who is attending New School in NYC, and finally met an IG friend who flew in from Ireland to see her three different nights at BAM. Her music truly does bring people together to paraphrase her own song as corny as that might sound.

If her lateness is an issue for some or many, I totally understand. No one is forcing them to buy tickets. It’s well established by now across multiple tours over decades. So it’s not a surprise. I’m still hoping to see her again before the tour goes to Europe.

Dude, my post wasn't directed at you and you don't need to respond with a long defense of her every time someone is critical of her. I realize she has an important place in your life. That's great and I'm happy that her music has helped you get thru some rough times. But she's been on the road touring for over 30 years. How long it takes to break down her set, move it to the next town and set it up again as I said should have long since been figured out. Other performers have just as complicated sets and they manage to figure it out. Why can't she? And she's not a friend, she's a professional entertainer and fans are paying a crapton of money to see her perform. Maybe she should consider even if you're putting on a great show, it's not cool to send people home at almost 2 in the morning especially on a weeknight where people have to get up and go to work the next day. Excusing it with well that's just who she is- you should be used to it by now, is just BS. And yeah, lots of people plan trips more than a few days in advance and many hotel rates and airfares are non refundable and extremely costly to reschedule, so yeah, this is really costing some people a lot of money. You can.make all the excuses for her you want. I realize in your eyes she can do no wrong but for me at least, I just find this extremely inconsiderate of her fans and very unprofessional.

Sounds like during the Chicago run, the "stealing a fan'd beer" bit worked its way out if the act after a couple awkward moments with shy people. By the last night in Chicago she stayed on stage, a dancer brought her s beer & she just made a comment to someone in the audience.

According to friend who was there (she’s been to almost all of the Madame X shows), the show did start at midnight. Instead of leaving and requesting a refund (which reportedly were being honored), some chose to stay and boo. People threw water (or other beverages) on my friend and others for standing (it’s a concert; people are gonna stand and dance especially at a Madonna show) and were booing M. My friend said it was a very aggressive crowd and she even currently lives in Vegas. I totally get being upset with such a late start, but it’s also disrespectful to stay and boo when the show does start. This resulted in the solo male dancer that starts the show being boo’ed during his segment. I don’t understand booing him. It wasn’t his fault.

M reportedly didn’t care for Vegas before this and after this I wouldn’t be surprised if she totally cuts it as a stop on her further tours. Midnight is bonkers. So is booing and throwing drinks on people.

None of this ruins her legacy in my opinion. Fans like me love her despite (and often because of) her occasional or frequent brattiness. Led Zeppelin’s legacy survived (perhaps was even burnished) reports (from within the band) of things like sodomizing an underage woman with a fish (depending on who’s telling the story, it either was or wasn’t against her will) so I’d say her legacy is secure. I will say I’ve never wanted to go to Vegas (never been) and my friend’s report just solidified my resolve to not go.

Sitting waiting for Donny & Marie to go on, catching up thanks to free Caesar's wifi (Flamingo is a Caesar's property). Reading this I find it pretty funny. Vegas is so white trash, but then the 60-something woman sitting across from me is in head to toe Gucci. Not surprised people at the Colosseum got upset about people standing. At Celine in May, a guy 2 rows behind me was throwing a fit about 2 girls in the row in front of me dancing. They put a disclaimer when you buy tickets that audience members are allowed to stand, but no one reads those. I'm going to the Sunday Madame X show. Fortunately my flight home Monday is in the evening & it was only $50 extra to book my suite for an extra day since it us a Monday, so I don't have to check out at 11 & can sleep innif it goes late. I didn't realize how warm it was actually going to be here, and didn't bring warm weather clothes. The first thing I did after I got in today was walk over to Target for sunscreen & some tshirts.

We talk about how unfair it is to the audience for Madonna to start her show "late".  But who it is really unfair to is the venue's employees.  In this particular situation, the employees at the Colosseum  didn't leave work until way after 3:00 am and some probably didn't get home till way after 4:00 am.   I was there in July for a concert and spoke in depth to a handful of employees (mostly ushers).  They had the common factors  that all had more than one job and kids to get home to.  Sure, they got paid for their time, but in the long run it wasn't worth it if they couldn't make their second job or be alert when their kids got up in the morning.  I will always be a fan of Madonna and continue to buy her cds.  I just can't give her a pass on this behavior.

Enjoy Donny & Marie.  I saw them last year when they were on tour.  The setlist was the same as the Vegas show.  It was a lot of fun.  Many laughed at me when I told them I was going to see them.  They put on a better show than some of the current A listers.  Also Vegas is worse now.  It was pretty bad with the cigarette smoke and the drunks.  Now with weed legal there,  and the smell everywhere, I'm not going back.

And so is standing the whole concert and basically not giving a sh*t if you block the view of everyone behind you cause you "gotta dance". It's the height of selfishness. But I agree, water shouldn't be thrown on them. They should be tased.

LOL.  I was at an OAR concert a couple of months ago and everybody except for the pit was seated.  Everybody, but the couple who stood in front of me.  It was either have the view of their backsides or find another seat.  I found another seat, thankfully.  When you are the only two standing in a crowd of 2000, then that is just what you said...selfishness.

Honestly. I certainly don't have a problem if it's the encore and everyone is up or the band tells everyone to get up but just to stand there dancing the whole freaking night song after song after song is just so wrong.

Well, I live in Vancouver & there's more pot here than in Vegas so that won't bug me, even though I do not partake.

So, during Thursday's performance Marie tripped over something on stage, fell on her right knee, had to be rushed to emergency.  Fortunately she didn't  break anything.  Donny came out & explained what had happened & that Marie would still perform tonight but that she had her leg in a brace & wouldn't be doing any dancing.  She also changed up her numbers a bit & did some different songs sitting in a chair with band members, and then some songs she just sang while the dancers did numbers without her in the choreography.  Good show, a bit corny with their mock sibling rivalry.

Went to late show of Absinthe afterwards across the street & a lady ahead of me in line was loudly complaining about being at Madonna Thursday night.

I agree that it is event staff who suffer most.

Did you enjoy Absinthe?  It was the only show during my July trip that I was disappointed in.  First, when people say every seat is wonderful is only true from the distance to the stage.  Some of the acts were staged so, depending where you were seating, you had a partial view.  The worse was crew behind me having  non show discussions nonstop.  Every look and shoosh I gave them, did nothing to keep them from yacking.  It really took me out of the show.  If I would have had time I would have complained to Management.
