I'll be in New York next week, and trying to figure out which show I want to see. I'm leaning towards Come From Away or Hadestown. I've seen a lot of the classics (Lion King, Wicked, Phantom), and also newbies (Hamilton, DEH, Book of Mormon). Any suggestions between Come From Away or Hadestwon, or any other show would be much appreciated.
They are both lovely shows, so no "wrong" choice. (Which doesn't really help you at all!)
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

I mean it really depends what you want...both a great, but they are vastly different.
CFA is shorter and has an easier to follow storyline. A good book with a few standout numbers. If you see Colella, it’s a great performance (one that has be ending soon at this point) though the rest of the cast is superb as well.
Hadestown is more of a spectacle with amazing music and a decent book. If you see Amber Gray (which you most likely will because Tonys), you will see what is IMO the best performance of the season, but there is a lacking performance or two.
My vote is absolutely HADESTOWN. Moving and magical and much of that is due to this particular cast as this moment. Get a ticket now before the deluge of awards makes it impossible.
COME FROM AWAY is so easy to love (in good and bad ways) but it's also on a national tour that's absolutely swell. See it there and save your NYC slot for HADESTOWN.

Anyone happen to know when Colella is planning on leaving? Going to the show at the end of May, and wondering if she'll still be there.
Hard call, ultimately comes down to your individual tastes.
- CFA is a 90 min show that feels like it could be longer, Hadestown is full length and some feel it could have used a few cuts. Depends if you're the kind of person to feel like you've not gotten your money's worth at 90min or the kind of person who finds full length productions long
- Hadestown has a bit more spectacle. CFA doesn't really include any 'wow' moments, where there are a few big ones in Hadestown that really fill you with awe
- CFA is a more uplifting show. Hadestown is a tragedy, though one that tries to leave you with a reason why.
- CFA is easier to rush and the 'partial view's are still excellent, if you are choosing that option
- a significant portion of the original cast is still there for CFA. Hadestown is all original cast
Both deal with a lot of 'storytelling' style (if you're a diehard 'show don't tell' then see neither) and both are fantastic shows, you're well served either way.

November, unless she extends."
I’m pretty sure it was announced that she’s doing another show in June, so I don’t think she’s staying until November.
No brainer. See the ORIGINAL CAST of Hadestown on Broadway. Come from Away is great and is currently touring around the U.S. to much acclaim. I.e., you could theoretically catch both shows this year if you catch CFA on tour.

She is doing another show in July, so she will be out for a few weeks. But she's in CFA through at least November
