Dont care, actually. I think shes a terrible actress (from tv viewing) so her involvement wont sell me any tickets.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Yes, she’s terrific in Waitress in the West End; she brings a completely different approach to Jenna and her performance is a breath of fresh air.
I’d love to see her play Louise in Gypsy (not that we need another revival yet) or a role in a Wildhorn show.

Why not? She has a good voice and has improved as an actress. I did not see any critic reviews of her performance in "Waitress" but most people who saw her on this board thought she did pretty well.

Just curious. Did you see her in "Scorpion" or is your opinion just based on "SMASH"?

I say yes. She's got a fabulous voice, and received excellent reviews for WAITRESS in London. Why not?

I don't think I have a problem with her doing Broadway but I don't necessarily want to see her as Glinda in Wicked. If it's the right part then sure. Maybe she would be willing to do Hadestown when Eva leaves?

Not until she learns how to pronounce Hammerstein.

Actually, no one said that. At all.

I do like her and I know she will never be a Broadway star but I think she is perfectly capable of doing well in the right role on Broadway.
