How do you get Can-Can Tickets for Moulin Rouge?  I have tried every date as well as looked on ticket resale outlets and have not found tickets.  Any advice?

Do you mean the table seats within the passerelle? Is that what theyre calling them? Its not what they called them during the Boston run.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Yes, the table seats at the front of the house.  Ticketmaster refers to them as the "Can-Can Seats".  No one (not even Ticketmaster) knows how to purchase them.  It's really frustrating.

Its possible they havent been put on sale yet....while i dont remember the timeline, it wasnt at the same time as the regular seats o Boston. They might be waiting until they are actually in the building to make sure it works the way they planned.

For what it is worth, I saw the show twice in Boston -- absolutely loved it, flaws and all --and I noticed that the people in those seats were in constant movement to see where the action was.  I concluded that they are close, and you may even feel part of the action, but they also looked like terrible seats for that show...there is a lot happening everywhere, you miss things, you get no perspective on what is happening on stage, etc.  I would recommend you see if you can get seats a little further back in the orchestra; they may be premium priced, but they will probably also be cheaper than the stage seats, and you will be far enough to get good perspective, etc.  I actually  think that front mezzanine may be the best seats for MR.

Yes, there was quite a bit of talk about those seats from being tto close to being incredibly cramped.

I agree with the others. When I saw the production in Boston, I sat in mezzanine and recall a good amount of the singing happened on the passerelle--- which meant the people sitting in the can can seats (back in Boston they called these seats the Diamond seats) were constantly turning their heards towards their back a lot.ll I wouldn't sit there. Plus, in Boston there was a warning that you cannot leave those seats during the performance at all (they had to open a door and that can only be done during intermission or at the end of the show.)

Kinky Boots just closed last week and I doubt they'd know how many seats they can sell until at least a few weeks from now.

I called Ticketmaster about them last week, and they confirmed they are not on sale yet. They had no other information for me.  I think other people in this thread are correct, they probably need to see if they work in the space first.

I'm glad they are waiting instead of selling seats with no location like they did with the stage seating for Great Comet.

Surprised they did not include a price for those tables in the announcement.

i’ve noticed over the past couple of week tickets at the extreme sides have been trickling out. I have assumed it was because they were waiting to see if they needed to sell any at partial view. It appears they have been putting out rear orchestra and mezzanine sides at full price. I was lucky to grab Row G of the mezzanine for the first preview. Yeah, extra leg room.

The email says this as well:

Moulin Rouge! The Musical — Can Can! Table Seating Information

Please note when purchasing Can Can! Table Seating:

Seats are extremely close to the stage and surrounded on all sides by the action onstage.

Can Can! Table Seating is divided into two areas on either side of an extended runway in what would usually be the location of the orchestra pit.

Once the show begins, your exit will be restricted by runway bridges that are closed around the Can Can! Table Seating area during much of the performance.

Even when the bridges open, we ask that you do not leave your seats outside of intermission except in an emergency. You will also need to remain in your seats throughout the bows and finale.

Can Can! Table Seating ticket holders will need to arrive at the theater no later than 15 minutes prior to curtain time. After this time, at management’s sole discretion, any empty Can Can! Table Seating locations may be offered to other patrons.

There will be no late seating in the Can Can! Table Seating area after the commencement of each act of the performance due to the scenic obstruction and in order to ensure the safety of the performers. You may be required to stand in designated locations or be provided with alternate seating (if available) until the intermission break (or for the duration of the performance), at management’s sole discretion.

No physical contact with the runways or stage is allowed. You may not place ANY belongings (e.g., Playbills, drinks, food) on the runways or stage at any time before or during the performance.

Space in the Can Can! Table Seating area is limited. Any large backpacks, shopping bags, large packages, or bulky outerwear may need to be checked at the discretion of management.

Can Can! Table Seating is not wheelchair accessible.

ON SALE TOMORROW AT 10 A.M. EST

Does anyone know how these new seats will effect those of us who purchased seats in the front orchestra? I really hope that my view isn't blocked by these tables, even though I bought them when they first went on sale, they still weren't cheap.

Would appreciate any one who is familiar with the set up to let me know.

Thanks.

I don't remember there being any talk of obstruction from the Boston run.  They definitely won't be HIGHER than you are, so to see the stage, you'd be looking over their heads.  Additionally, you will already be looking OVER the passerelle - I can't imaging any issues.

Someone did post a picture of the set above?

But it doesn't seem possible for them to be obstructing your view, although they were on the seating chart the whole time, so not a surprise they are springing on anyone?
