Spring 2020 Musicals

Anyone have an educated guess as to which musicals will be opening on Broadway during the spring of 2020?

Tina and Jagged Little Pill open this fall, so I guess that would be considered the 2019 - 2020 season. Magic Mike is playing in Boston this fall, and I think it's safe to say it'll be opening in the spring.

I assume Moulin Rouge will still be open. I imagine The Flamingo Kid is aiming for Broadway after the cast they announced yesterday. Benny and Joon starts it’s second out of town tryout this week, so that could be a maybe, I guess.

The "season" starts the day after the current year's Tony eligibility date passes.

I'm aware. I just didn't know if the poster meant debuting during next spring, or not.

In my own perfect world, I'd love for Six to do amazing in Chicago and make a Broadway transfer [even if it's for a limited engagement] sometime in the fall/spring.

The problem with SIX is that it’s 70 minutes long. Charging Broadway prices for that (even though I LOVE the show) is just ridiculous.

Yeah i agree, that's the main reason why I don't think it'll transfer. 

And I forgot about Company! I remember reading somewhere on here that Jordan Roth wants it for a Jujamcyn theater. I hope that still holds truuuuee.

August Rush. Paramount theater in Aurora IL (outside Chicago). John Doyle directing hoping for Broadway transfer. Hoping.

They'd be best to do a 3 month strictly limited run at somewhere like the Hayes or the Cort and charge a hundred bucks a ticket, take the financial hit and then find it a more permanent home Off-Broadway once it's become a hit.

I think "Six" needs a non-profit behind it to makes its way. And I think 2nd Stage would be the perfect fit. They're trendy.
