LIZZIE BORDEN vs. SIX#1

So I've not heard of the new LIZZIE BORDEN musical that was announced today to play the Signature Theatre this summer, but it definitely appears stylistically similar to the musical SIX (about the wives of Henry VIII) currently a smash in London and presumably eyeing a NY transfer.

Has anyone seen both and care to compare them? I guess now is the time for anachronistic historically driven female empowerment rock musicals!

They're both pretty fun.

There's a lot more narrative in Lizzie... with dialogue and stuff... but Six is essentially a rock concert with isolated songs and very little narrative apart from that. Lizzie uses a concert-like format to tell their story but Six feels like an actual concert with the Six being the band you're seeing.

Lizzie is more "rock" music tho it's really rock by way of broadway. Six is pop music... and fairly representative of that genre.

Jesus saves. I spend.

Thanks, KJ for your insights! - How would you compare the scores? Are they equal in merit?  Do you think the musicals would compete for a similar audience?
