Hadestown Rush/SRO Updates |

3:30 currently only 6 people in line. Everyone got here around 2.
Could anyone give me some tips on getting SRO for a Friday performance? What time should I get there to make my chances the best?
Can anyone describe/have a picture of what SRO looks like for Hadestown? Was it worth it? Did you miss any scenes because of the mezz overhang?

SRO is 100% worth it if you can rush it. I've done it multiple times with no regrets. Below is a pic from spot 13 or 14 (I forget which). The best part is that you can move to an empty seat at intermission (with the blessing from the head usher - he'll give you all the info just before the show). The only negative is that you'll bend down a few times to look up at Hades's balcony - not a big deal IMO, especially after you find a seat for Act II.
Pro Tip: a few minutes before the show starts, check what's still available on StubHub as you'll often see Orch center seats still up for grabs. I grabbed a spot in row N center with 3 or 4 seats empty next to me!

10/20/19 Sunday, arrived at 8:01am for the 3pm show and it's now 9:20am, not a single person is here besides me c:
So great day to come for SRO?
8:01 - 1/2
10:05 - 3/4
10:27 - 5/6
10:34 - 7
~ 11:00 - 8/9
~ 11:10-11:40 - 10-15
Probably around 20 people when box office opened.
Someone who asked the box office yesterday said they usually have up to 9 SRO tickets but it looked like a good 13 or 14 people got it (8 on the right, something like 6 on the left orchestra).
So, is it best to get there right when the box office opens or in the middle of the day closer to showtime? Trying to see this next - I'll be in town the whole week!
Also - has anyone rushed matinee and know when’s a good time to get there?
Thanks!

Yes, there is a strict 1-ticket per person policy. No, you cannot “hold” a place for your friend. Think of all the people behind you in line have been waiting for hours - how would you feel if someone did that to you. I’m sure more than one person would let you know that’s not allowed and/or speak with the line manager.

Why would you think that the official website would be wrong and/or that your friend would be allowed to cut the line???
I've never heard of a 1 ticket per person rule (most other shows have 2 tickets per person) so I was just asking to make sure. Keep a good tone, please.
I'll send updates after we've rushed. Thank you for all replies!
Rushed today (Friday 10/25) and I have to say...it's getting easier. I arrived way too early, but wanted to guarantee a spot.
1:15 - I arrived. #4 in line. The group of 3 in front of me had arrived minutes before.
3:30 - #5
4:00 - #6-8 in line
4:10 - #9
4:40 - #10-12
A few more joined by 5, but the line didn't even hit the end of the wall of the building.
At least 11 SRO tickets given out (I didn't get a good look at the end of the line to check before the show for any additional).
Also, the Red Bucket campaign has kicked off. They are selling signed playbills, posters and there is a raffle to spend a show with a stage manager :)
So we ended up rushing yesterday Saturday Oct 26 for the matinée and got amazing SRO tickets, although were seated in the Mezzanine for act II with the help of an usher (they knew from the ticket scanning what seats hadn't been filled and were glad to help us find seats).
This is the time breakdown for those interested:
8:15 am 2 people in line (#2)
8:20 2 people (us) (#4)
8:25 3 more people (although the friends of the first person came back 9:05) (#7)
9:00 2 more people (#9)
9:35 3 more people (separately) (#11, #12, #13)
9:40 3 more people (#14)
After that, we didn't keep track very well because people came and went. When the box office opened we were exactly 20 people in line, but the box office wouldn't say how many SRO tickets they had. I think everyone got a ticket though, but we ended up leaving once we got ours.
The sun was shining, but it still gets cold so remember to bring an extra sweater - and happy rushing!

Did the $39 standing room for Hadestown 2pm matinee (today Sun Nov 10).
I got there at 11:40 and there were 12 people already ahead of me. In the next 5 minutes, 4-5 more people came. I ended up getting the 13th of 14 available SRO tickets. (It seems that the machine spits out tickets in order of standing position, so I'm led to believe being lined up 6th or so gives you somewhere near the middle orchestra ...please correct me if I'm wrong?)
During intermission, the usher was nice enough to point out empty mezzanine seats, so I went up there and sat in the second row center (incredible) I guess they open up SRO if the house is almost completely sold, not necessary completely sold out?
Wow what a show. edit: Yeah Hades' balcony is not easily visible from spot 13 (left orch) ... one has to crouch way down to see what's going on up there
