I did rush and sat in L21 orch. I couldn’t see the far left side of the stage, and I couldn’t see the top of the stairs at all. I know that hades sits up there for most of the first act, but I couldn’t actually see him at all. I don’t know what standing room is like, so I don’t know if I would’ve preferred it or not. And because the view was so limited from my rush seat, I do intend to eventually buy full price tickets so I can have a better viewing experience. But, at $42.50 for rush tickets, even with partial view it’s still worth it.
hi everyone! I always look on the rush boards for info but I’ve never made an account/posted but I feel like I should start :) so I rushed today (fathers day if that possibly makes a difference with my experience) and I ended up getting standing room! I was 13th in line, and I got there at 8am with the people in the very front getting there around 4:30am I believe, with the box office now opening at noon. The actual rush tickets went very quick, maybe around 5/6 people got them? I didn’t stick around after to see if and who got tickets after me but I wish I had so I could contribute more to the board! But I will update this with how the standing room view is today after the show!

The lottery tells you if you won the day before, so it can't hurt to play the lottery (although only two of you will get tickets if you have one win)

I don't think I can sell it on stubhub or Ticketmaster because I will be picking up the hard tickets at the box office wed morning. Does anyone have any experience selling extra tickets to people waiting in the rush line? Any advice is appreciated!
Seats are located Center Orch Row P"
you can also try posting on FB groups (hadestown fan page, NYC ticket selling groups, etc) if the theatre won't give you a refund

Just walked to the theatre. As of 2:30pm, there are 13 people in line.
Also got some info on box seats - the BO will sometimes have them available up to a week in advance, and sometimes they will also be posted on TM. I just grabbed one for Friday night. $109 :)

This info on box seats is so helpful, honestly, thank you so much!!!
I saw Harry Potter this way, is this how box seats usually work? Where you have to typically buy them in person? I had not realized that was a thing, but looking back that makes sense.

Yeah I did! Got hear around 2:15 and Im 13th in line!!

I’m used to seeing box seats sold only at the box office and only on the day of, so I’m happy that at least Hadestown is making them available in advance and online. Can’t speak for any other shows though, and of course it’s never a guarantee that they will be available.

Gotcha, gotcha. I am hoping to go tomorrow or Friday and attempt to get box seats. If not, I'm from NY so I can always try again another week!

From what I read on various forums, Box A is better than Box B, but in Box B you miss the band and nothing else really. But the box tickets themselves say partial view.
Can't confirm any of this, but I saw someone post a picture from AViewFromMySeat.com and looked at other BroadwayWorld posts.

Yes, the box seats are a partial view, but what you are missing is the far side of the stage, which is where the band sits (not to discount how amazing the band is, but sides are pretty much just entrances and exits.).
The ticket I got today is Box A. Will post a pic on Friday :)
How long in advance do I have to be in the box ticket to buy those? Are they sold any day of the week or any time? Do we have to line up for those too? How are they not sold out yet? ahahaha
SneakySylveon - glad to know you made it!

Box seat policy will depend on the theatre of course. To answer your questions...
You can buy box seats at the box office and (as per the very nice BO agent informed me) sometimes online at TM. The seats are sold (if available) any time the box office is open. No, you do not need to stand in any line. The lines are for cancellation, rush and SRO spots.
I've been used to box seats being made available only on the day of the performance, but the agent said they MAY release them as far as a week in advance. Today I purchased a ticket for Friday, so definitely at least 3 days in advance.
Your best bet is to go to the box office early in the day and ask if they have box seats available for the date you are looking to go. Current price is $109.
Hope this helps :)
