I think I can actually make it in to see these two. So excited!

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

"

I get its live theatre and anything can happen, but they are specifically currently promoting the show for people to see him and Shosana for their very limited run.

I didn't have tickets to see him, so I'm not personally upset.

But, I really feel for the people who flew in, bought a hotel, and bought a ticket specifically to see him in his (initial) 5-week run. Obviously, no one is pissed he had a child, but the timing's not the best -- and I know he can't schedule his child's birth, life happens.

I mean compare it to going to an artist's concert. Take for instance... Taylor Swift (or any famous singer of your choice). They promote Taylor Swift's concert that Taylor Swift is obviously going to be performing. People buy tickets, hotel rooms, rent cars for travel... etc. Then, she cancels a tour date -- she's sick.

Obviously, she didn't plan to get sick, but people still wasted a ton of money to see her. Sure, they will get the ticket money back, but not their hotel and airfare/car/gas.

Sure, they don't hate Taylor, but they are disappointed this happened. She is only in their town for a small amount of time. This may be their only chance to see her and they were promised to see her.

Jeremy Jordan is no Taylor Swift, but people thought they'd see him in a performance because it was promoted that he would be thereand it sucks when that falls through even if there is a legitimate reason. No one expects Taylor to perform sick and no one is expecting Jeremy to perform when his wife just gave birth.

I'm just saying people have the right to be disappointed and I feel for them.

-- but hey, maybe we should never buy Taylor Swift tickets just in case she gets sick.

"I’m not saying you can’t be disappointed. Of course you can be. But also maybe give understudies a chance. You weren’t promised him. When you bought your ticket it didn’t say their names on the ticket. It said “Waitress”. You were promised a show. If he had been out when I saw it yes, I would have been disappointed but no, I didn’t waste my money. There are hard working and dedicated understudies, standbys and swings who can do JUST as good of a job in the role. You can be disappointed, but don’t go getting mad at him. Don’t diss the production.

Dear god, can we stop mamufacturing problems? Do you even know if hoardes of people, or ANY people, a3te demanding refunds? No one is dissing anything.

And YES, if the ONLY reason you were going to see this is for him, you have a right to both be disappointed and inquire about an exchange or a refund.

Dealing with that is part of being an understudy, btw.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
