Hi all,
I’m home on spring break and Im planning on catching a matinee this afternoon. Its an awkward time as its right before shows Im dying to see open, but I figured I would check something out anyway. Going by whats currently on TKTS and TodayTix, whats the best choice between the Ferryman, the Prom, and the Other Josh Cohen? All very different shows, but if I wont get to see anything else until May, what should I see?

Ferryman if you want a tour de force, Prom if you want fun, light, don't need to think.

I haven't seen The Ferryman so I can't comment on that one. Going to see it in May.

Between The Other Josh Cohen and The Prom, I personally preferred The Prom. The Prom is silly and has a big heart, which is right up my alley.

The Other Josh Cohen was cute and had super talented performers, but the story didn't appeal to me as much. (I've realized that unless there's a really good twist, I'm typically not into stories about guys bemoaning their lack of a love life). That being said, The Other Josh Cohen was a fun afternoon, so I don't think you'll go wrong with either.

I'd pick between Ferryman and Prom, both great in their own ways. But hard for us to decide if you want a 3-hour Irish drama or a fun, splashy comic musical.

I loved THE PROM, and I've heard the new cast of THE FERRYMAN is not quite up to the caliber of the original.

Seen both. Ferryman is a deep drama thats over 3 hours and has 3 acts but is thrilling Imo, especially the ending. The Prom is non stop light hearted fun, and one of the most heartwarming shows I've seen. Both casts are fantastic as well. You can't go wrong! Ferryman starts at 1:00 tho so hurry lol

Okay, ferryman is out since I’m doubtful I can sprint to the theater in time. I listened to the first few tracks of both Josh Cohen and the Prom, and I’m super torn! My feelings are that JC will close before I come home in the spring, so I might as well see it now, and the Prom might hold on until then so I can see it then. Might also just be a spur of the moment decision, oof

THE PROM will be open until the Tonys, at least, but JC closes on 4/7.

Ferryman will certainly be here in the spring as well! I haven't seen Josh Cohen, but as others have said Id think The Prom will try and stay open thru the Tonys since it should pick up some nominations, but its grosses aren't super strong either. So it is sorta a toss up haha. Best of luck and enjoy your show!

The Prom! Lots of laughs, fun music and dance.

2:14 may be a bit late for a matinee suggestion..
