Wish it was the KC production, but Hugh will be perfect! I would die of happiness if it's Osnes!

If Hugh only wanted to do 7 shows like Bette did, Jeremy Jordan would be a great alternate Harold.

I could believe Osnes and Cott being a part of this.

The roll out of this is very reminiscent of "The Greatest Showman." Jackman posted the first teaser on his Instagram and then captioned it, "You're up next Zac Efron!" You'd go to Zac's Instagram page and it would point you to Zendaya, then Zendaya to Keala, etc.

Maybe that's what this is? Jackman, then Osnes takes her lead, Cott bounces off her....

I don't see Mockingbird closing by the end of the year so this can take the Shubert. It should really go into the Broadway or possibly The Lunt if Tina isn't going in there.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Who would Cott be playing though? He seems a bit too leading man for Marcellus

With Rudin producing, this will be in a Shubert house so the Lunt-Fontaine would be off the table. I still say this would be a contender for next spring at the Shubert, even though Mockingbird is selling extremely well, I believe a lot of the longevity of the run will have to do with Jeff Daniels’s contract length and other commitments. Dolly was also doing great business when it closed and could have kept running and Rudin still decided to close it, so I could see a similar situation with Mockingbird. If not, depending on the size of the production, it could take the Broadway, as I’m sure Kong will be shuttered by this time next year. Or, depending on how Ain’t Too Proud fares, we could see it at the Imperial as well. A fun option considering Jackman did Boy From Oz there back in 2003-2004. I would say those three would be the top contenders, theater-wise.

She used the praise hands for a dream cast post, implying she hoped she’d get to do it. If that’s not enough, here’s legit confirmation from her:

Well Im so down for this.

In terms of theatre, I agree with the above poster that the Broadway, Shubert, and Imperial are top 3 although minus the broadway I think the others could very well still be occupied. And until its confirmed, I could see this at The Lunt as well. Tina could play anywhere right now until we know. Some people were saying Girl From North Country would for sure be there this spring and that did not happen. A lot of people saying Frankie and Johnnie would be at the Belasco. Of course they may have all been true at some point but my point is plans can change. The Lunt would be perfect for this I think and a great theatre to make some $$

And the reason you're so dismissive?

I just went down the list of qualifications (Can she sing? Can she act? Is she the right age to play opposite Hugh Jackman? Does she look like she would have an Irish mother?) and her name popped into my head. Frankly, you can't check all the boxes with some of the names that have been brought up. Another name might be  Sierra Boggess. And with all the complaints that Kelli O'Hara is sometimes miscast, this seems to be a perfect role for her. A lot of possibilities, and I thought Lauren Ambrose might be one.

Mike Barrett, Scott Rudin works exclusively with the Shuberts. The Lunt is a Nederlander house so it wouldn’t go there and Tina is all but confirmed for it. If Mockingbird is stil doing well, I wonder if Rudin would consider moving it to a smaller house and having Music Man in the Shubert as I can really only picture it there. As others have said if not the Shubert then the Imperial seems perfect.

Ah, my apologies, I was not aware. I agree the Shubert is perfect. Maybe if they can get Daniels to extend to the end of February than take the show on tour? Without Daniels of course but Im sure they could get a strong lead for a big tour. I think it hinges of if it wins best play or not. If it does I can see it running thru summer 2020 easily. But maybe Im a bit naive.

Hugh is set to start filming a new movie called REMINISCENCE in late October. It is an action thriller/sci-fi/drama which will reunite him with GREATEST SHOWMAN co-star Rebecca Ferguson. Given the genre, it may take a few months to film. If it slips into January, will there be time to rehearse and preview the revival in time for the TONY cutoff of early April?

I'm not an artist but expect to see this three panel strip:

Panel One:  Mr. Hill!  We need to see your papers.

Panel Two: SNIKT!

Panel Three:  We don't need to see your papers. We got enough trouble, as you said.

I’ve heard from a usually reliable source that they do have a Marian cast, and that it is Sutton Foster.

But I am taking it with a massive grain of salt because that casting seems remarkably wrong to me.
