Hi Friends,

I will be in the city in April for a few days and am finalizing my choices for shows.  I know I want to see Kiss me Kate (Kellli!) and Kinky Boots before it closes (have yet to see it!)

I have one slot left to fill and am debating between Tootsie, Oklahoma, and Kong (I know...but thinking it may not have a ton of life left...should I try?)

Would love your votes because I am being so indecisive!  About me: I'm 31 and I really haven't met a piece of theatre I didn't like.  Favorites include Next to Normal and Waitress.  Also, I will be up again at Thanksgiving, so those I miss I can see in the fall.

*Also I've searched high and low for discount codes valid April 3-5 for these shows but havent seen much.  Any tips or tricks are appreciated.

I would say Oklahoma. It's a reimagined production, theatre in the round, and I believe is a limited run. Has great reviews as well. Tootsie also has great reviews from it's out of town tryout, and will likely still be open come Thanksgiving so you may have your shot there! I've heard only great things about the Kong puppet, and only terrible things about everything else about the show. It doesn't seem to be selling too well, so I wouldn't he surprised if that closed soon ish or at least before thanksgiving. If you're dying to see it, I'd check that one out now then. Enjoy your trip!!

I haven't seen Kong but I think Mike has some solid advice about Tootsie and Oklahoma. Tootsie will likely still be around later in the year. Enjoy your trip!

Thank you so much for the code!  I genuinely couldn't find any for the shows I was looking at in the timeframe I am up there.  My wallet appreciates it :)

This includes discount codes for all three of your shows:

I haven’t seen any of the three shows, but Tootsie and Oklahoma! are both high up on my list while King Kong is barely hanging on at the bottom of my list. I think you’d have to ask yourself if you want something that is a feel good (Tootsie) musical comedy (ala Kinky Boots - although it has serious parts - and Kiss Me, Kate) or a more challenging adaptation (Oklahoma!).

Thank you so much for the codes Miles2Go2! Not sure how I missed them on playbill.com but thanks again for your kindness in pointing that out :)

Thank you all for your help! I secured tickets to Kinky Boots, Kiss Me Kate, and Oklahoma! I’m so excited because I’ve never seen a production at Circle in the Square :)

I’ll hit Tootsie at Thanksgiving!
