Hi all, I'm putting together a concert at my alma mater as part of a biannual themed theatre festival. This semester's theme is Immigration and I need some help adding to what I've gotten so far. The songs themselves don't have to outright be about immigration, but they can at least touch on culture, change, etc.

So far I have:

  • A New World from Songs From A New World
  • Inutil from In The Heights
  • Paciencia Y Fe from In The Heights
  • Children of the Wind from Rags
  • Our Children from Ragtime
  • Journey On from Ragtime

Looking to reach at least 10-12 songs. Thanks in advance!

Haven’t listened to the soundtrack in a while but maybe something from Allegiance?

The whole of Tell Me On A Sunday (a.k.a. the first act of Song and Dance) is about a young British woman settling in New York City.

There Is A Child from Giant

Born in Laredo from Hands on a Hardbody

In my opinion no concert on this premise would be complete today without these points of view.
