Not that I think it will make a difference in the long run, but they are performing tonight on Late Night with Seth Meyers. I'm not sure what number they are doing, but as far as I'm aware it's not Time to Dance again, which is good. I love it dearly, but this show needs all the marketing help it can get.
Much as I love "Time to Dance" and the kid/ensemble focused numbers, I really wish they'd show off some of the funnier material from the egomaniac actors - I feel like people have no clue what this show is about... and that's so much of what it's about. And also what makes it unique.
They should do "It's Not About Me" or "Zazz" or "Changing Lives"...

Harry is signed until April, I wonder if they are eyeing a star to replace him? (Even though they had a seemingly tough time getting one in the first place)

Harry is actually signed until July, same as Laura. Danny is there until end of April
I'm still rooting for the Prom. Hopefully the numbers will increase now that prom season will begin in the spring. However, with Be More Chill starting previews this week, both shows may be competing for the same demographic.
Kong isn't a vanity production as that expression is used but it certainly may run well beyond its stick a fork in it date for reasons having nothing to do with the grosses.
I think The Prom was trying to get the Dear Evan Hansen crowd instead of the older gay crowd, which it should market/target because the 4 adult leads are brilliant and the stars of the show.
Totally! I should probably edit my post to just say “target an older crowd” because I think adults would really enjoy the show! I wish they had made the lesbian story a subplot instead of the main plot as the main 4 New York characters are brilliant. And the lame Dear Evan Hansen-esque songs aren’t great.
I thought the Prom got some buzz from its Thanksgiving Day parade performance. That's how a lot of my lgbt friends first heard of the show (and we live in NYC!)

Have you checked Telecharge (which by the way isn't up now if you wanted to buy tickets)
Laura, so lucky to get the role that she has wanted to play her whole life, is making hash out of her remaining schedule, especially March, I think so she can join Sutton Foster on TV in "Younger."
Why don't they just say goodbye to her when she was supposed to leave? She hasn't been a draw, despite national TV exposure, even with the heavy discounting of all but center orchestra, and the rest of the cast has got to resent her being given carte blanche to invent her own schedule. She hasn't earned that right.
Earned it? Im pretty sure she was upfront about her commitments to Younger before they signed contracts. As said, she isnt really proving to be an asset at the box office, so I doubt many will be too upset by her necessary absences.
If it wasnt ok with the producers, it wouldnt have happened.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Sorry, I was getting Harry and Danny's schedules mixed up!
I would love to see Brad Oscar replace Danny. At this point, those numbers look scary, but perhaps the advance is better as spring approaches. The show is going to need a big marketing push to make it through July 6.

I get the impression that this was news that just broke during the last couple of days. Maybe she has been making some guest appearances all along.
You don't think that the rest of the cast will be put off? I saw the show not too long ago on a Tuesday night with Kerston and half the orchestra was empty. Only forty were in the entire orchestra left, leaving a wide expanse of empty seats. I felt so bad for the cast having to look out on a sea of empty seats while performing in the "best musical of the season." (Times and New Yorker)
